Anyone ever stayed at Smugglers Notch in VT?

WE went last summer for 4 days because our friends have a timeshare there and we wanted a short trip that we could drive to. WE got a 50% off coupon through them but we were required to meet with a representative to discuss the timeshare. I was very upfront when I met with the woman that we owned DVC and were only there to enjoy a short get away. We spent less than 10 minutes talking to her. I personally was not impressed with the room we had. I cannot remeber the building we were in but it was one of the older buildings and it was very outdated. The resort amentities were very nice and my 10 year old loved going to the daily camp they had. I actually did not want him to go because it was a family vacation but he was really excited about it. They have a few restaurants on property which were pretty good and there were various restaurants around town. We will probably not go back. That being said my friends absolutely love it there and go usually twice a year (once in summer and once in winter)

I've never stayed there but have been to the area. It really is beautiful. Travelzoo sends discounts for that resort regularly in emails.
