Did anyone ever stay at the Swan or Dolphin with the nurses/teacher rate? First off, what is the actual rate you get? Did you like the hotel? Do you get a nice room, or do you get a yucky room because o the special rate?Do you still have the "Disney magic"feel, even though it's not technically a Disney hotel?

The rate is 129.00 for a standard room (altho I've always gotten a free upgrade).

There are tons of SD posts on the RB. Hop over there and take a look.

Suffice it to say, that I like the hotels enough to be a SwanDolphin Cheerleader! Since I first stayed at the Swan (1989), I have stayed at only one other hotel at WDW--the AKL when it first opened.

I also recommend hopping on over to the Resorts Board where you'll find literally tons of info on the Swan and Dolphin.

We've stayd at the Swan, Dolphin and are returning to the Swan at the end of January! We qualify for the Gov't. rate (same as the Teachers/Nurses rate) and it's quite a deal. The location is superb, the Boardwalk is at your back door, and the Grotto Pool was voted the 'most lush and exotic' by Disney Magazine.
