Please don't flame me for this, I'm just curious if anyone has done this and if so what happened?:goodvibes

1) It does happen.
2) Sometimes they accommodate you.
3) Sometimes they turn away the extra people (very embarrassing).
4) All depends upon
. . . how crowded is the eatery
. . . how pleasant is the CM
. . . the phase of the moon

We did, during Thanksgiving week. My sister lives in Tampa, and originally thought she would be visiting the in-laws during Thanksgiving. Her husband had to go out of town for the first part of the week, so they had to cancel their plans. So, my sister and baby niece meet us at Epcot the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The Biergarten said it would be no problem to add her and the baby to the reservation.

We were once denied the opportunity to add one at the podium at WCC mid-December on a Saturday night. We had went expecting this so the extra person just kept busy while the original party went ahead and ate.

If they can accomodate they will try. However, there have been lots of reports where the extra people were turned away. Personally we've seen groups with extra people turned away at Le Cellier, Rose & Crown, Mama Melrose, and Crystal Palace. There seem to be more reports of restaurants accomodating the extra people than turning them away however.
