Anyone Ever See/Hear The Caverners? Canadian Beatles Tribute Band

We'll be spending 2 nights at the Fallsview Hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario in Dec. and I see there's a Beatles tribute band called the Caverners playing there. I'd appreciate any info about them, it's either them, a comedy show or mass quantities of Labatt's that night. Thanks for indulging my off-topic question.

LOL I would go for the beer AND The Cavreners!

We saw them at our local "Cornfest" this past summer and they are VERY good!!!! DH and I were really surprised by the great music and the "likeness" of the Beatles. I would definitely go and see them.

The Avalon Ballroom is beautiful too. Actually the whole casino is very impressive.Have fun!

PS: The Blue is also an absolute must.....much better than the "other" stuff you're used to!

Yes!!! They are great!

I was born and raised in Niagara and have seen the Caverners way too many times to count. They have a great (very Beatles like sound) and you'll enjoy them very much.

Fortunately, I've seen them always at free concerts. I know the Avalon is kinda pricey, but I have been to a good concert there as well and it is a really good atmosphere.

I wouldn't waste money on "seats" but would buy floor admission if you don't mind standing the whole time. You get a better view, and are more "in" the concert.

Mind you, it'd be nice to see a concert sitting down. A great venue either way.

Yes, they are worth going to see. I have seen them 2 times, last time in Aug. They do 2 long sets, first one being their earlier hits and the second set is the Sargent pepper era(in full costume) I wouldn't pay big money to see any tribute band but if tickets are reasonable, go see them.

Thanks, all, I just got our tix for the show, front row sec. 202 (balcony, our preference, great, unobstructed view), looks like the Mrs. wants to do the comedy show at the Niagara Casino the next night so I'm off to book that.

sammi, Labatts Blue, reg and light is actually our everyday brew since we 'discovered' it while watching Off Kilter a few years back. The pints in the pic below are either Tennants or Stella depending on the year we took it.

Hope you and your wife have a great time and the comedy show is good too as my neighbours were there for their anniversary and enjoyed it.
