Anyone ever request bed rails and waterproof mattress covers in rooms?

DS will need both. Are they readily available? WDW has them listed as available for guests with special needs. Really? How do I request these items? Am I better off bringing these items from home and/or renting them from somewhere offsite while in FL?

All you need to do is put the request on yoiur reservation. There is no charge, and Housekeeping will take care of it. YOu might need to mention it again when you check in. And the rails they provide will be correct for the bed.

We get the bed rails all the time. The rails where different then the ones we have at home and we called the front desk and ask them how to use them and they sent someone in to put them up for us. We have never had any trouble getting them and they are always in our room waiting on us. As for the plasic bed cover I think they would have plenty of thoes as well.

we have never gotten these, but people have posted in the past have posted the same as the other people who responded to this post.
Housekeeping will take care of it.

As for mattress covers, both times I have bought the waterproof kind myself and put it on the bed when I get there and then just leave there when I leave.
