Anyone ever ran a Ragnar relay?

I'm signing up for one next year with 11 other people and hoping to see pictures, etc! Would love to hear your experiences and get tips too!

I've done DC and Cape Cod and we are doing the Keys in February. They are a lot of fun! I think it's the most fun I've had running. Which one are you doing? When we did Cape Cod we were able to get a hotel that both vans could use at different times. It was great because we could shower and take a short nap. We didn't do that for DC so that was a big help. If you have any specific questions let me know.

We are doing Chicago. Anything you can tell me about your relays would be great! What was most important to you to pack? I would love a place to shower in between legs!! I'm so confused on the logistics of how to make that work.

Just pace yourself through your legs. It's going to be a long two days and sleep will be at a premium. Try to use your off time to rest and eat. But the most important thing is to have fun, enjoy being with the other people in the van, and did I say have fun. As far as packing - Chicago is in the summer I think so you shouldn't have to worry to much about temps. I changed after each leg so running clothes for three legs and some comfy clothes for between legs and the end. We packed way too much food on the first one so maybe just coordinate your snacks and food.

As for the place to shower - it can be hard to find but if you can find a hotel that is on the road for both vans then it will work. That way you split the cost twelve ways. Once they release the legs they will probably suggest a mid point hotel so check out. Hope all this makes sense. If you have anything specific just let me know. Would love to do Chicago one time.

Two of our large exchange locations have showers...you have to pay a few dollars, but seems worth it !!
As for us, I live near an exchange and may invite my van over to shower. ( boy, that's sure sounds odd!!)
