So two days ago, DBF tells me we're going to play "broomball" with his friend's school friends. I say.. ok sure not really knowing what it is. He describes it as "running around on an ice rink with sneakers on and hitting balls with brooms." I'm like... "ok..."
I mentioned it to a few of my friends and they are all like "ooo it's so much fun!" Am I stupid for never even hearing of it???
If you ever get the chance to play- do it!! It was so much fun. It was like hockey but with a rubber ball (well, we used 4 rubber balls) and these sticks w/ a plastic "broomlike" attachment at the bottom, and you wear sneakers instead of ice skates. It's pretty much a free for all, and everyone falls and gets wet from the ice. Only one girl went to the hospital- she split her chin open on the ice
I didn't notice until it was all over- but I HURT. I woke up this morning and could barely move. My elbows and shins are so black & blue DBF said it looks like he beat me!
I'm never letting my kids play this... but I'd do it again if I had the chance... in a few months
