Anyone ever participate in Dance the World Holiday Season Edition?

My daughter's dance school is considering participating this year. Of course, it's an expense that we were never even considering. But that being said, it looks SO cool that she'd participate in the holiday parade and then also do a school dance performance. Of course, the package prices are rack rate and above for her since it includes a costume and choreography session.

So wondering if anyone has done this in the past, how you planned it to be more economical (hence the reason for posting on the Budget Board), and any tips, tricks or words of advice you may have for us while we consider letting her go and possibly joining her.

We did the summer dance the world. It was a neat experience but not one that I would do again. We did the usual, order groceries in, budgeted, saved etc. We actually found it was a lot of hype for not much dancing. However our daughter is still proud that she danced at Disney!

Thank you, I know it is basically a marketing gimic to get folks in large groups to the World LOL. I, too, think it would be cool to say she dances in the holiday parade and at Disney with her dance team and since she's a senior, it would be her last time to be able to take part in something like it.
I was ever trying just booking her through the group and us separately to see how the $$ came out but I am not sure all the hassle will be worth the little bit of difference.
