Anyone ever lost Something on a ride??

Betzee, thanks for the kind of funny (yet scary) story, and the warning! I bet that was horrifying for the poor little guy.

I lost my Louis Vuttion Multicolor Wallet, on Primeval Whirl. I almost cried, if not for the best cast member, in the entire world. They shut the entire ride down, while they search for my wallet. Surprising enough, my dh and I were upset for 2 completely different reasons. He was more concerned about the credit cards and cash (which had fallen out of my wallet and everything was found in less than 10 minutes); And, I was more concerned about the wallet...what can I say, I really love my Louis :cloud9:

I would have tipped the cast member, if I could have. But, he was okay with a very, excited, crazy person grabbing him and squeezing the air out him, expressing thanks, the only way I knew how

I wear my sunglasses on roller coasters. I buy decent ones, but just like to have them on while riding. I figure if they fly off, so be it.

Why then did I read and follow the directions on BTMR and take off my glasses? I still have no idea. I placed them in my shirt pocket, head off on the ride, and on the first turn, they fly right out of my pocket.

Only thing I have ever lost on a roller coaster (and I have been on a lot) In other words, just leave your glasses on.

DD lost her cell phone on Space Mountain in the morning. When we called they had found it in the ride vehicle. That evening DH and BIL got to go right through to get it and were able to ride right away. BTW we made DD wait until the evening to get her phone back as we had told her NOT to use the purse she had as it did not close and she would probably lose something. We are mean parents but she got the point.

Left my Disney hat & a bottle of water on a 9:05 am Soarin' ride. Don't ever do that. I realized it about 5 mintues after exiting. They wanted to know if I knew which side I was on ( 1 or 2). I did. So they sent me back through the exit to quickly check when the show was over. I did not find it. I was to check back by lunch. Not there. Then check guest services before leaving Epcot for the day. It was was not there. Next day, all lost & found will be sent to MK, right at the dog kennel area. Not there either. So I lost a favorite hat, but it is still on sale.

I have a pair of sunglasses that must have nine lives while at WDW! In 2006, I lost them on Peter Pan. My son was sitting in my lap & I had my sunglasses hooked onto the front of my shirt. He must have somehow knocked them & they came off. I didn't notice until we were off of the ride & I went to put them on. I went back & told the CM at the end of the ride & he said he'd look for them. We went on to ride IASW, but I figured they were long gone. After IASW, I went back - the CM had my glasses!!

In 2007, I put my sunglasses in the cargo net while riding EE. After getting off, I realized that I had left them in the net! I went back & asked the CM as you enter the building/gift shop after the ride. She directed me to Lost & Found. I described my sunglasses & they already had them there!! My DH just grinned & shook his head when I came out of the gift shop wearing my sunglasses.

I have to say I burst out laughing in the library when i read this. Guess it hit too close to home!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When my mom lost her bag on Buzz (this was back in 02) a CM told us to wait for him, and he hopped on the ride with a flashlight and something that looked like one of those grabbers from the infomercials. Said he had to go fishing. We met him at the exit, he had mom's bag, and some extras! We had a good laugh about what a great job that would be!

I lost my camera which was attached to my fanny pack on Buzz. :scared1: I remembered where it dropped and told the CM at the end. They must get lots of "fishing" experience working this ride because he did just as described above and I got my camera back good as new in minutes:goodvibes After that, the camera went in the zippered compartment. My princess: 12's sunglasses are another matter. I think there is an alien planet that is being supplied with eyewear just on her inability to retain sunglasses for more than a week. :cool1:

A year and a half ago, we were at Epcott. I had gone to stand in a refreshment line while my wife and kids went to get fastpasses for Soarin'.

Well, a bit later, I asked for the tickets (my job was to keep our tickets in my pocket), and she handed me four fastpasses and three tickets... not four. My personal 10 day park hopper ticket (we were on day two, I think?), room key for Wilderness Lodge, and (in effect) credit card (since we had tied charging to the adult tickets) was missing.

We went back to the fastpass machines, where she figured she must have left it in the slot, but no luck. We checked with the nearby cast members, but no one had seen it or had any turned in. So I sent the family off to the Kodak section and I walked to guest services, anticipating everything from a hassle, to possible fees, to maybe even having to purchase a new ticket.

As it turns out, I had nothing to worry about. The cast members there happily cancelled my previous ticket and assured me that there was no chance of unauthorized charging due to the incident. I was issued a paper ticket good for the rest of the day, and told that my new plastic ticket/room key card would be waiting for me at the front desk of our resort that evening... which it was, of course.

The cost? Nothing but me asking "please". Disney is the best!

Very similar thing happened to us. DH had all of the cards and I took them to go get FP for Mickey's Philharmagic. I carried them in my hand the whole way, fed them into the FP machine. Went to count them and I was missing a FP. Looked through the cards and DHs wasn't there. I was sure that he must have put it in another pocket after charging lunch, so I called him on the cell phone. He checked his pockets and even asked at the checkout where he bought lunch. So I went over to a CM at the ride and explained the situation. He obviously didn't understand because he went and checked a cabinet by the ride and asked DH name. Finally he opened up the FP machine I "thought" I used (since I stepped away I wasn't positive anymore), said nope and said I'd have to go to customer service. I asked what I could do about the fact that I only had 7 FP for 8 people and he gave me another one So I hoofed it over there while everyone else went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There were a zillion people in line and I was so worried someone was charging a ton of stuff on our card as I waited for people to get birthday buttons and ask for how to get to another theme park. When it was finally my turn, they had to call the Contemporary and I had to tell the hotel to cancel to cancel the card, then they gave me a paper one and DH had to go to CS at the hotel when we got back. In hindsight, I should have just called the hotel myself from my cell phone as DH really didn't need a new card that was only good at MK because we were leaving right after Philharmagic. We were late getting to our ADR because it took quite a while to get him a new card at the hotel, too. But at least there were no charges. I've always wondered if somehow two cards got stuck together and went through the FP machine together and only one came out.

I lost my Military ID, drivers license, DVC member card and AP on Space Mountain.
It was all in my lanyard holder, which I had tucked inside my shirt to be safe. At some point during the ride, the force of the ride I guess sucked the card holder part out of the bottom of my shirt and everything in it went bye bye.
The only thing found was my AP..............

I lost a pair of sunglasses on Tower of Terror. I actually thought that putting the glasses in my front shirt pocket would be good enough. It was my first time on the ride. ;)

I lost my big bag with our passes and everything in it. We were on Dinasour in the AK. This was the 2nd year AK was open. Anyway when they told us to put our things in the net pouch on the ride so that they would not fall out I opted to hold onto my bag. I figured I could hold on tight enough, how bad could it be right. Big mistake. We had to wait till the end of the day when the turned the ride off. Two cm's walked through it with me and yes we found it. I will never again hold on to my things when they tell me to store them in a certain place. Lesson learned.

Last April DH took DD4-at-the-time to ride Test Track. I met him at the end of the ride and off he went to ride Mission Space. About an hour later I started to get worried and went off to find him, to no avail. I called and called and called his cell, no answer. On about the tenth try a female picked up the phone....I was like, "Who is this?" She had found the phone and was riding Test Track. I told her I would meet her at the end of the ride. I went over as fast as I could and my DH met me there with his phone....?? He had realized what he had done and gone to the end of TT and the lady manning the photo booth had pulled up his picture to find which car he had ridden in and then called another CM and when the ride had ended asked the people riding if they had found a cell phone. The girl handed it to them and the phone was right back in my hubby's possession. We were just relieved to have it back since that was our only way of communicating in the parks.

Yes a diamond tennis braclet my DH bought me for our 10th anniversary..... was sick about it all day long.... lost it on TOT... when back but no sign of it.

On my first trip to WDW back in 1977, I took off my glasses--per a CM's directive--and put them in my pocket, before riding Space Mountain.

Needless to say, they went flying out somewhere.

As I left MK, I checked at Lost and Found per (another) CM's directive. Much to my surprise, my glasses were there!!

I hold my glasses in my hand these days!

Sunglasses...fell out of my pocket on Space Mountain....never thought that I would ever get them back so I purchased a new pair at a gift shop on Main Street

I have lost hats 3 times at WDW. The first I was very young and don't remember the details, but remember it happening. The second time I was 13 or 14, and lost an EPCOT visor I had bought on SM. The third time was in 2000, and left my ALASKA hat in the "stick your stuff in here" pouch on Dinosaur! (Back then it was Countdown to Extinction) I have a tradition of losing hats whereever I go, back have not lost one on the last two trips. MY new trick, I clip the hat into the strap of my fanny pack. Therefore, I cannot lose it off my head, nor can I leave it in the storage pocket!

I lost a pin on SM and luckily it ended up staying in the car. After I got out of the car a CM noticed it but the car had already left to go to the loading area. So they rushed me through the back entrance and held the car just to grab my little ole pin out of it. And since we were then standing on that side again they let us ride it again. Hooray Disney!

One of our best stories is related to losing stuff at one of the Parks. My Daughter lost her autograph book - left it on Splash Mountain. She did not really notice it (she was 16 at the time and was more interested in how her hair looked). We get home - then about 2 months later she gets a package from England. A little girl had found it and mailed it to her once she got home. My daughter was really touched and wrote her a nice letter of thanks. It was some nice Disney magic. She had had the book for several years and it was loaded with autographs.

DH left his camera on Buzz Light Year. We noticed it gone a few minute after we got off the ride. Honest guests must have been in my DH and DS Buzz 'car' - because the CM had it when we got back to Buzz Light Year :cool1:
