Anyone ever live in New Orleans???

I grew up there...........But I now consider it a better place to visit than to live at. Agreed?

I'd love to move back to NO but I live with my dad who is in his 80s here in Arkansas. I probably have more friends in NO than anyplace else.

But that's how I feel about San Francisco - I'd rather visit than live there - way too expensive (and too far from WDW).

Well, I'm sitting in my office on Canal Street right now. It seems that the tourist enjoy the town much more than I do. It must be because they're on VACATION and I'm not!

My dh lived there his first year out of college. He thought it was great to be single in that city. However he thought it was NOT the place to raise kids. We used to go back to visit regularly when we had family nearby and he used to always say how he was glad he could visit and not have to stay.
My neighbor grew up there and says the same thing.
I think it's a great city to visit but I wouldn't like to live there. I hate heat and humidity. LOL!!

No way. I love this city! I have lived in the outskirts, but absolutely hated it. I'm here to stay!

I have wonderful memories of growing up there.....The Christmas windows at D.H.Holmes and Maison Blanche.....hanging out downtown and the Quarter when I was a teen(this was the olden days when doing that was ok )..........going to Ponchatrain Beach on a Saturday Night...
