Anyone ever heard of ... Disney Avenue for trash can plaques

Not quite sure where to post this but figured it has park related items, so please move if there is a better place for this thread

Disney Avenue? Kind of a nostalgic website. Old replica posters and plaques, even the music they play on it is neat. Lots of music from parks and various rides and resorts. That alone is worth checking out.

It came up on one of my FB posts and i checked it out. It sells replica plaques -- you know that emblem that is on the side of the world showcase trashcans. Very cool idea and was thinking of getting one for hubby for his birthday or fathers day. Definitely seems like a unique gift and one of those odd things in the parks that we usually notice. Disney has the most interesting trash cans.

Anyways - the plaques are not cheap and i have never heard of the shop so just wondering if anyone else has had any experience. Always a little cautious when it comes to making online purchases. They use paypal so there is some buyer protection with that form of payment.

Any input is appreciated!

I never heard of that website before but hopped on over after you mentioned it here. Awesome find!

A little bit of research shows that it's affiliated with another reputable and popular Disney message board and podcast, and they have a loyal following on Twitter and Facebook. I honestly would not hesitate to order from them!

Thanks for looking into it!! i actually found some other plaques on etsy, for 1/2 the cost, but not sure about the quality. Reading more on them they are a plastic resin (so light weight) casted and then coated to look like metal. If they look as good in person as they do in the pictures you almost wouldn't be able to tell it isn't metal.

Now i just have to find the right spot in the house to display.

Such a neat idea and gift. My boys want the Servant quarters and there was another one i saw that was Care taker ( that will have to go on my bedroom door

Thanks for posting this! (Then again you may have just cost me a lot of money so maybe I shouldn't be thanking you ) They have such cool stuff. I saw a guy wearing the Maelstrom never forget shirt on our last trip and wondered where he found it.

I've ordered from there multiple times and the quality is magnificent! My daughter is a huge Disney fan with a substantial collection and she didn't know it wasn't metal until she picked it up.

Don't order from them. I ordered several items in early December and after weeks of not getting them I reached out. They deleted my comment on Facebook inquiring about my order (the first bad sign) and PMed me that my order would go out that week. After more time passed and I still didn't have my items, I posted on their Facebook again. This time they blocked me and cancelled my order. No customer service, just an immediate block for leaving a negative review. Very scammy business ethics.

I ordered a door mat from them for DH at Christmas this year. Saw the ad in Facebook and made an impulse purchase (with paypal). It took a little time for the item to arrive, but arrive it did! I emailed them for info on shipping and they responded quickly with a confirmation that it would ship during a certain week, and it held true.

The door mat was shipped rolled up in a cardboard container. While I would normally not spend that much on a doormat, DH actually wants to get it framed for the wall instead!
