Anyone ever had waitlist success for HH in summer months?

Tried for 1 night(thurs) at HH (2Br) on the way to WDW in July and they said resort is completely full. I'm now on the waitlist(been for over a month) but probably with a snowball's chance............ Anyone ever had any luck from this time out till the summer months? Thanks!

I've been on the waitlist for a summer ressie since February and this is my home resort.What bothers me is the fact that I have heard of people getting cash ressies through the regular reservation numbers(there are discount codes listed in the DC literature etc.).It would seem that DVC members should have priority but evidently that is not the case.I am disapointed.

If a HH owner has used points for the cruise or other non-DVC option, those points are made available to CRO for cash reservations. Many of these are weekends, but some weekdays could also be available for cash.

We've had many reports in the past of summer HH nights being found using the waitlist- so don't give up hope yet.

It also may depend on what room type you are looking for- there are only 21 studios, 21 1BR villas and 5 GVs. There are 76 2BR villas. You should also use the auto-waitlist, so they don't have to try to reach you by phone.

I just tried yesterday to change our July reservation from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom.

Nothing was available. We're trying the waitlist but I'm not very optomistic. I didn't want to do it day by day so we are waiting for the entire week to open up. I'll be really surprised if it happens.

It was actually for this upcoming trip. We like to break up the drive down from NY and stop over in HH. This year we are going late august/early Sept (instead of our usual Oct) and got waitlisted on the front end and back end for HH. We figured it didn't look good and worst case we could just stay over at a Hampton in since it is really only a place to sleep (for our current trip plan anyway). Anyway a week after, I made the ressies the wait list came through...so anything is possible if ya believe.

Last summer we were on the waitlist for a 2BR for about 2-3 weeks 6 months out. Hang in there and be flexible on your dates.

I'm on the wait list for July for either a 1 bedroom, the studio or the GV...if the 1 bedroom or studio comes through then I'm giving up a 2 bedroom reservation. If the GV comes through, then I'm giving up TWO 2 bedroom reservations. So all we need to do is work on those 5 people who have the GV reservation to change their mind about their July HH trip
