Has anyone been offered an upgrade (either for add'l cost or pixie magic) at WBC? I really, really want to move up from 2bd to 3db but my confirmation letter says no changes...hoping maybe there is a chance at check-in.

Wyndham VIP owners of certain levels get upgraded automatically, but I would not count on it for your stay. Because of the automatic upgrades, and the limited numbers of larger suites that are snapped up during the restricted booking windows, it's very unlikely.

Enjoy your stay! WBC is a great resort, and your 2 BR will be just fine.

Originally there was just 4 in our party for the 7 nights. Now for 2 of those nights we might have 9. It says sleeps 8. We can make it work but was worried about occupancy limits...

I suspect the 9th person will be sleeping on the floor, and two people will be sleeping on a sleeper-sofa...which is probably less than optimal. You'd be way ahead getting a 3 bedroom deluxe.

I guess I should mention 4 of the 9 are kids, 2 of which are boy scouts...sleeping on floor not a problem. I'd prefer the 3bd if possible, though.

Which I read as 5 adults in TWO beds. Not my idea of an ideal situation.

If you are reserving through Wyndham directly, I would change that. I would rent a reservation from a Wyndham owner through one of the services often mentioned here on this forum. (Don't have a vested interest here; I do NOT rent my points.)

You will get MUCH more for MUCH less, and the difference between a 2 BR and 3 BR won't be that great.

I have stayed in 4 different 2 bedrooms at WBC. They all had 2 double beds in one room and a king size bed in the master. Then there is the sofa bed - which is better used by putting the mattress on the floor. It will be cozy but workable for just 2 nights.

If you mention you have 9 at check in they might not let you check in.

I have stayed in a 2 BR and I would think it will feel pretty tight. I felt it was just right for our family of 4 when we stayed in December. We just reserved a 3 br for 7 people next February. In our case, the difference between a 2 BR and a 3 BR for one week was $400. Well worth if for everyone's comfort.
