We're giving it a go on our next trip and don't really know much about the airline. Any info is very much appreciated! :)

We have flewn NW twice out of Detroit. Once to England-service was amazing and once to (where else) Orlando. No complaints eithertime. I just booked 4 fairs to Nov-Dec.

We love NWA they are by far the best airline we have flown with. We have flown to WDW 2 times with them. We would reccomend them to anyone flying out of Detroit.

I like them and find the staff to be pleasant. Never had a problem with them.

I've flown Northwest several times. In Toronto, even Detroit the service was pretty good, but in Orlando we had to do our own check in, which was confusing at best and it was just a madhouse. I would fly them again if the fare was good. We also went through Detroit, which is a nice airport.
They don't give you any food - but offer it for sale on flight.

My sister flew them from Winnipeg to Minnepoplis to Orlando. Its cost them less $$ than any CND airline. They said that it was really good and they would defiantly fly them again.

I've flown NW a few times with absolutely no complaints. This time I'm trying suncountry (charter service). Hope it's just as good. Flying out of Winnipeg is tough for low $$$ unless you're willing to do NW or another Minneapolis charter.

Yep, I flown NW from T.O. to Minneapolis. Great flight....i'm pretty sure they feed us. It's as good as Air Canada but had more room that some of the charters or discounters (AirTran...SW...etc)

Living right near a NWA hub both DW and I are frequent flyers with NW. They have great service and their FF program has one of the lowest mileage redemption levels in the industry. Both DW and I have flown out to Boston for free for the 4th of July weekend last year, and back when I still lived in Canada I flew from Toronto to Los Angeles. The bonus miles really add up if you do little things like subscribe to an email list or do an e-ticket check in. I would recommend them.

Thanks everyone! I'm really looking forward to giving them a try!

Was doing some checking on NW myself. Other than non-direct flight, cost is just a little more than AirCanada for our timeframe. Total trip including stopover is about 5 hours (instead of the 2-1/2 normally for us). I can't find any information on what they charge to make changes or if necessary, refund your ticket or on their first class services. Anyone point me in the right direction?
