DH is a huge sports nut. HUGE! DS (11) loves game rooms and arcades and stuff of that nature. And we were thinking of adding a dinner at the ESPN Zone to our crazy planned vacation.

It would either be on the Saturday (yikes!) that we arrive to Disney, or Sunday or Monday. Sunday or Monday will be Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. And Tuesday/Wednesday are going to be Knotts/Universal days.

When I read about it, the prices don't seem to be too terribly high. Plus, the atmosphere looks like it would be great for a sports fan.

I signed up already on the site, so I could get online reservations up to 3 days in advance. That would help to save on the wait time.

Your thoughts on the ESPN Zone??

We haven't been, but have always heard great things about the plan. My DH loves sports too, so when we go in May, we will be making a trip there for dinner on Saturday.

Thank you for mentioning that you can sign up online to make reservations. I will have to remember that.

It sounds to me like your family will really like it. We went last year, and the food was pretty good, relatively inexpensive and the servings are HUGE. The only downside was the wait, but it sounds like you've got that covered with the online reservations- so I'd say go for it!

I have a family filled with sports nuts and they LOVE the ESPN Zone! :woohoo:

We like the food, all the TVs with the sports (even in the wc) and the kids like to go upstairs and play the games, especially since we don't really do any of that kind of stuff at home. The games are pretty costly. If you have an AP, you get extra points when you purchase games for your card. Since you have signed up on the website, they will send you a card and you automatically get some points if you buy more, but the best discount is the AP.

One thing, if you get online reservations, be sure to print them out and bring it to ESPN Zone. They are not hooked up to the website and do not have record of your reservation....:confused3 I don't understand that, but I had to run to our room at the DLH to get my copy of the reservation (especially since we had reserved a huge table for 10 which turned out to be its own little room with like 3 or 4 TV's in there. Sports Heaven....).

Enjoy!

Yes good food and service. Ive been there a few times now and I really enjoyed it. I am planning on heading back there on my next trip. I did make reservations however cause some times it can get a wee bit crowded in there. Just a heads up :thumbsup2

We have eaten there many times. The kids love the arcade. Always has been very crowded, but had to only wait maybe 10 minutes at the most for a table. If you join the ESPN Zone club on their web site you would get a starter game card and some other freebies, not sure what they are pushing this year.

Burgers were great! One of our usual stops for lunch or dinner during a DL vacation. You will like the food and the sports!

Have a great time.

I wonder if the reservation system will be open for a Father's day Reservation... hmmmm

I think I might book something for Saturday, just in case.

I would for sure make ressies. We waited 35 minutes and still didn't get called, so we ended up just eating in the bar (same menu). Pretty good food and pretty Disney prices. I think I paid about $14 for a chicken finger salad...

It was one of our best meals in our weekend at DL.

Thanks so much everyone!

We have decided that Saturday will be the day we go there.

We get to the airport at 3:10pm, and figure we will be checked into the hotel by 4:30pm. I am guessing we will make reservations for around 5:30 - 6pm. We are going to be starving!!

This is going to be one crazy busy adventure/vacation!
:)

Hubby loves it there! My girls like it too because they can play the games.
The games seemed to get really pricey quick. We spent more money on games than we did food.
Have fun!
