I now have something for a bucket list. It will probably have to wait until I am retired, since it will take about 3-4 weeks to accomplish.

How does one do a B2B grand slam? I was just looking to add Magic to my Fantasy and the dates do not line up.

I hadn't looked into it, I just assumed since there are cruises most every week, it could be done. Maybe not. I have YEARS until I retire, by then, the 2 new ships will be floating. Supposedly, cruising on all 6 ships will be called a Six-pack.

Its going to be THREE new ships... when they made the official announcement it was quite a shock! I guess they still have tricks up their sleeves (and marvel money in the bank):smickey:

We've done back-to-back on all of 4 ships within a 12 month period. Does that count?

B2B generally means you literally get off one cruise and turn right back around and do another, right? DCL doesn't ever have more than one cruise terminating at the same port on the same day, so I don't see how it could be accomplished. In some cases I get that one could get off the Dream on a Friday and embark the Fantasy on a Saturday, but I personally wouldn't refer to that as a B2B.

Well, there are short periods of time during the year when all four ships are based in Florida. So you can sail the Wonder, Dream and Fantasy from PC and then make a quick trip to Miami to get on the Magic.

I'm assuming you mean sailing the Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy as much "back to back" as cruise dates would allow? ( sounds like an awfully fun challenge to ME!) As PP have said, B2B means getting off the ship at disembarkation only to get right back on the same ship as soon as it clears. But if one was trying to accomplish a Grand Slam, I would have no problem with the B2B "rules" being bent if one was getting from 1 ship to the next as fast as humanly possible (travel, etc.). What a fun idea!!

Never have done B2B but around NYE we will do NYE on Dream and 2 nights later get on the Magic in Miami! Looking forward to it!

^^^ this!

Obviously, a B2B grand slam would not follow the same rules of a regular B2B because we are changing ships. So there would have to be a little wiggle room in getting off one ship and getting on another, especially if the ports are in different cities. I guess I would consider a B2B Grand Slam to be all 4 ships in one vacation period.

They need a name to distinguish a B2B(2B2B) Grand Slam from the "standard" Grand Slams. Maybe a “perfect” Grand Slam or the Cycle (since that is rarer than a grand slam in baseball)

What about a true back to back grand slam - two weeks on the Fantasy, followed by a week on the Dream, followed by a week on the Wonder from PC and then a quick jaunt down to Miami for 9 days on the Magic!

A true Grand Slam would be cruising the ships in the order they joined the fleet. Magic, Wonder, Dream and then Fantasy. We did that. Not all at the same time, though. We did a Dream 4 night/WDW/Fantasy B2B to complete our Grand Slam.

But, I'd like to work a Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy sequence all at once.

Wow, Princess Shmoo! I had never thought of it that way. :scratchin But when I read that, I started thinking and that is exactly the order I have sailed with DCL as well!! :woohoo: I have sailed multiple times on the Magic and Wonder, and twice on the Dream, so our cruise in 3 weeks on the Fantasy will make my Grand Slam. But I first sailed the Magic in '99, then a couple of years later the Wonder, than back and forth between the Classic ships before sailing on the Dream with our little ones, and then doing a 3 night to put me over to Platinum!
