I'm considering throwing my DD's birthday party at JW Tumbles, however $320 seems like a lot of money. Has anyone ever thrown their DC a party there? Is it worth the money? I need to decide today b/c they are holding a date for me...Thanks

Oh my goodness, they do the best parties, it is sooooo worth the money! :cool1:  :cool1:  (I live in a small townhome and there's no way I could have had many kids at our house...) I've had my DS's birthday parties there two years running. The first year (3rd b-day) it was only about nine kids, and they did a lot of stuff tailored for their age. This last year, as his world was larger (playgroup, church, *and* school friends were all invited) we ended up with 19 kids between the ages of 3 and 6. The "funner trainers" (Tumbles speak, not mine, LOL) did such a great job of keeping them busy with all of the different activities, from relay races, to adventure time (free play), a zip line ride, a snowball fight with all the parents (using foam balls)....I don't know how your Tumbles works, but at mine they provide some paper goods (I think plates/cups, etc.) I ordered and brought in the cake and decorations (Cars, of course!)....They ordered the pizza...Did all the decorating, cleaned up, etc....The only complaint was (and I kind of liked it this way, less chaos) that we ran out of time and had to take all the presents home to open.

PM me if you have any specific questions....(I'll be out all morning, though--DS has "camp" today at Tumbles, so I get a free morning, woo-hoo!)

Never at JW Tumblers but at Gymboree when my daughter turned 3. Price seemed about the same. For us it worked out, because most of her friends at the time and parents we knew were at Gymboree. She got to have her favorite teacher run the party.

Since her birthday is in the Winter, this made a nice location to host several 3-4 year olds and their parents. where they could run crazy and play.

The cost covered the location, teacher (2 hours of party time), invitations, party bags (empty). We had to provide, snacks, cake, drinks and goodie bag gifts.

You have to ask yourself how much will you spend on a party that you will do somewhere else (home, park, etc) How will you keep everyone entertained and how long do you want the party to be.

So.. now that she is 5 she does not remember the party and when she looks at pictures she can not tell it is her party or a normal Gymboree free play. So the question is what do you as parents want to celebrate and remember the day.
