Anyone ever bought any stock in Disney???

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has bought stock in Disney or can give me information on how to do this.....I am going to buy a share of stock for my 2 yo DS for his birthday and was wondering if anyone on here could tell me how to do this...Thanks

You can buy one share of stock through www.oneshare.com, however you will pay a very large markup. You could buy it through a broker, but then you pay brokerage fees and they aren't crazy about small purchases like that. I buy Disney stock on a regular basis through www.Sharebuilder.com. I can buy as little or as much as I want with a fee of only a couple of dollars. The shares at Sharebuilder are not in certificate form, however you could probably get them converted. I hope you find what you need.

I bought Disney stock when i worked for the Disney Store, it was a weekly payroll deduction.
My son's godmother bought him a share for his christening and it is thru oneshare, I believe. I,also, bought one for our nephew thru them. The plus side is that we got nice certificate and had it framed. And there is a large markup. I belive we spent about $100.00 for it (with certificate, frame, etc.)

It's cool to have- display, talk about etc, but as I have been warned many a time- Disney is one of the last corps. you want to invest a significant amount in.

For a single-share gift - as opposed to an investment - oneshare.com is the way to go. Yes, you pay a premium, but you actually get the share - which is beautiful, BTW - and you can get it framed, have a little message plaque, etc.
