I'd be really interested to hear about your experience if you've ever arrived on Memorial Day and stayed the rest of the week. I'm curious about overall crowd levels and to know if you saw a lot of tween and teen groups. We were there last year from June 3-5, and it was packed with LOTS of school groups, some of whom were unruly and disrespectful.

Thanks in advance for sharing your Memorial Day week experience.:thumbsup2

In 2007, we spent Memorial Day and the following week in Disneyland and had no complaints at all. As I was planning, i was a little nervous about going to the park on a holiday but several people here said that the parks weren't all that busy because so many people go to the beach on Memorial Day. So, we went to the park and it wasn't crowded at all. It was a great day and we never waited more than 15-20 minutes for any ride. The rest of the week wasn't too bad either, it did get busy by Friday but that was our last day and by then we had done just about everything so it wasn't too big a deal. We never encountered any school groups or anything, which was another pleasant surprise.

That's when we are going next! I can't wait - we get to activate our AP's (first time!!!) and got killer air fare with Jet Blue ($39 each way!). We arrive on Mem. Day at 8:30 am and leave Thurs. evening about 7:30. It's a total surprise for our kids since they are out of school the previous Friday.

Here's hoping crowds will be light to medium and school crowds will be low!!!

You mean the actual holiday, right? monday?

That's when we arrived last year, and we completely missed the crowds we heard later were there...they must have all left that morning.

We're planning another trip just like it this year!

LOL!! That's my trip too! We leave the Fri before Memorial Day, do Legoland, Seaworld and then on Mon drive up to Hojo's - then stay Mon-Fri at DL! Can't wait!

That is the trip we are taking! We actually arrive the Sunday before and expect crowds, but we hope as we get to Monday, Tuesday, and onward it will be light crowds and tons of fun!!! :thumbsup2

We are arriving the Wed. after Memorial Day and leave on Sunday. We are blacked out on Sat. so we are going to hit the Disney outlet and the major outlet in Cabazon (I found out there was a Coach and Dooney store in the same oulet mall.......dream come true for me:love:). We are going to do the chef's counter at NR one night and the BBQ round-up another night.
