Anyone elses Iphone and Siri doing random uninitiated offensive searches or autorrecting to text random offensive acronyms, same thing in messages?

The past few weeks my message autocorrect and I-phone's Siri (which I despise) are doing random offensive searches, anyone else noticing this too?

My Siri is off, or as off as it can be

No, mine is working fine, but my phone plan doesn’t include data, so I have to connect to wifi to post. I have autocorrect turned off right now because it gets on my nerves. I haven’t used Siri before, so I doubt it’s even set up. I prefer looking up info on Safari myself to asking the phone. Just my personal preference.

Have you downloaded the most recent upgrades? It seems like there was some mention about some bugs that were supposed to be fixed, but I don’t recall what the bugs were.

No, no offensive searches here. The only thing I can think of is that Siri thinks you are calling it and somehow is doing those searches. You could play around in your settings to make it as hard as possible for it to be ‘woken up’.

You also might want to turn off these for a bit. It could be the first search however it came about is influencing the rest.

I haven't updated yet but am not having anything like this happen.

Just did the update, my phone is so weird and does bizarre things all the time. DD informed us hers is overriding her settings and joining random WIFI.

You guys don’t happen to share an iCloud account do you? I ask because while years ago it wasn’t a big deal, now it can wreak havoc on everyone’s devices. Everyone should have their own. If you each have your own I would suggest password changes immediately. It’s very rare for Apple devices to get hacked by virtue of their set up but not unheard of and there *was* a security update so better safe than sorry.

I would look for articles that show the things to turn off on your phones and follow them. These tech geeks know what’s up and usually if they say to disable certain things there’s usually a good reason. There’s probably an article about it on the blog I linked.

For your DD is she sure she’s never joined those WiFis? I ask because whatever I choose in this section in the screenshot it says known networks will be joined. I have revisited hotels and whatnot and it will auto join those networks. Also it could have something to do with your carrier. AT&T asks me all the time if I want to join a nearby network. Cox will do it too but I’ve never used theirs so it doesn’t. Hope some of this helps.

This is standard, it's off since unknown wifi is a big nono and we all have unlimited roaming anyway so no-one needs to watch (too many fees in the past). Somehow, the phone is subverting the directives turning it on and off, which is a big PO & I'm wondering if it's widespread. I think we need to get to the Apple Store for a look-see, my phone was one of those turning the camera on and off on it's own a while back, took photos from across the room that saved to my amazon photo account, creepy.
