Anyone else willing to admit that they are addicted

:rotfl:

I used to live in vegas too for college and I remember that outlet mall.

when i moved back to southern california i got a job at a williams sonoma and we received our full discount at the outlet (only location in primm). my mom and i would make a trip a month before christmas to shop. i would get a basket full of items for sometimes less than a $100!! i once bought my aunt an espresso machine that had been the previous years model for $30, normally $250...she loved that gift and still uses it three years later.

well it is a 4 hour drive for my mom and i each way and we do it all in one day. plus i get to gamble for a bit.

i know the makeup outlet you are talking about, it's fantastic and i loved stocking up on stila lip gloss.

back to the subject, i am a lip gloss and eyeshadow girl, i use the eyeshadow as my liner using a wet brush and i love all the fun colors i can play with. i have no problem wearing blues and greens and especially purple, makes my blue eyes pop!

i work in a mall and i have a bare escentuals across from me, a brand new nordstroms opening next week outside of me and a sephora below me, its so fun to just play around.

When the Nordstroms opened near me I did not get to go but my friends daughter and her friends went they gave TONS of free makeup . If you had a make over they gave you the make up they used for free!! She just kept gong and washing her face and having another make over at a different brand. They gave them all a nice faux alligator hat box to put it all in too. If you can go to the opening. My friend said it took about two hours to show her all the stuff. You have no idea how much I wished I had called in sick that day and gone. Well since most of you are addicts you do know.

Yay!!!! This thread is still going!:cool1:

OP I think you need to change the name of this thread!!! You'll get more beauty vixens ;)

DH actually made me a makeup station/vanity in our bedroom!:teeth: He still has no idea how much I really have.:rolleyes1
I had to buy a rolling cart just for the nail stuff.

Alice's Mom- I am so jealous you live THAT close!!!! I miss that mall!

I love OPI, too. I also love China Glaze. And Essie.

FYI - A great topcoat is Out The Door. It makes my pedi's last for at least two weeks. I always bring it with me and they give me dirty looks at the salon.:upsidedow

PS- Can someone tell me how to multiquote??? Please? TIA:flower3:

Yep, same one! I was drawn to it the same way you were. I have the page bookmarked... that happened a lot with this issue. *sigh*

Seche Vite is good, too - but just I love Out The Door. INM makes it. I've seen it in Rite Aid. And Ulta has it.

My BFF and I go for pedi's together and I always let her use mine. She always remarks how long they last. My pedi still looks good after walking on the beach for a week.

Just practicing mulit quote....Idid not know how to do it either.

I think you're my long lost sister! :flower3:

I looooved the SoColor conditioner but I have splendid news for you! Sexy Hair Concepts makes a shampoo that is just as good! :woohoo: And they sell it at Ulta. :woohoo: And it smells VERY similar to the Matrix one. :woohoo:

Its the only picture I could find:

Loreal Salon Line also makes one, which they sell at Ulta, however I havent ever tried that one. Goldwell line also makes one - but they dont sell that at Ulta. Goldwell's is the conditioner one.

I really like SunGlitz color shampoo....but good luck finding it. I always get it at the trade show (I mention below)

And YESSSSS they sell the Too Faced bronzer there. I love Snow Bunny & Pink Leopard.

The Nars Blush they have at Sephora.

And the Tigi shadow... like I said, hard to find. But worth hunting for, I swear. Check out eBay.

I just checked eBay - nada. So you gotta keep an eye out.

This is what they look like:

The ones in the little 'bubble' container - theyre old. Dont get those.

Lemme check Amazon.

AH HA! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=tigi+eye+shadow

But - theyre expensive...thats why I like to watch eBay like a hawk. And this last March, I went to the Midwest show which is a trade show for cosmetologists - and I stocked UPPPPPP on those shadows! :woohoo:

Sexy Hair Concepts is the color depositing shampoo do they have a conditioner too?

Hey, Pittsburgh is getting a Nordstrom. It's supposed to open sometime in November I think. I hope it opens up on a day I'm off from school! :yay:

About the Ulta coupon. I just looked at mine and it expired today! It was 20% off one item. Where is the one that starts tomorrow? Is this the one a PP mentioned that was 20% off the entire order? Where did you find it and can you post a link? Thanks! princess:

I'm not addicted to makeup, however, I found a great way to try new things. We have a L'Oreal research facility about 45 min. away. I signed up to test products for them. So once every month or so, I drive up there, pick up a product to try, jot some notes down about it & return it to them the following week.

As "payment", they give you a small bag full of makeup goodies! I've gotten Lancome face masks, Maybelline eye shadow, L'Oreal lipsticks, all sorts of stuff. I love it!

It came with our weekly circulars. I got the 20% last week and they were also giving a cute Bare Minerals Sample with a mini buki brush.

If you go to EDIT - then ADVANCED EDIT - you should be able to click in there and alter the title.

No conditioner. :guilty: But the shampoo truly is great.

Like I said- Loreal Salon line makes one too - but I dont know if it's a conditioner. Goldwell's color line is both a shampoo AND conditioner. :thumbsup2

What am I doing wrong. I just get the title at the top of my post but not on the thread.:confused3

Hmmm....

Ohhh! I love make up too! I get so overwhelmed at Sephora and Ulta though, because there is so much good stuff and I never know what to purchase, or what will look good on me!

One thing I've found that I absolutely love is Primer Potion by Urban Decay. http://www.urbandecay.com/categories/EyeshadowPrimerPotion.cfm It makes your eyeshadows much darker and last a really long time :thumbsup2

I just bought the eyeshadow primer from Urban Decay on Friday. I had wanted the Make Up Forever one but the make up artist told me she liked this one better. It was less expensive too. I have used it once but so far it worked really well. The test will come when it is really hot. I love the container too! I never look at Urban Decay because the name is a turn off. I must be getting old.

I will be honest, I am a teacher but as far as I am concerned, if you were in my class I would excuse you on the opening day! I mean school lasts 180 days a year ...Nordstrom's opening only occurs once in what once in 1OO years? All I would ask is that you write a personal essay describing your day. Then everyone would be happy! If you do go you need to be there at an hour before they open. They typically open on a week day but run the "grand opening" for the week end . However the free stuff is NOT the same.

I have been there a couple of times but I must be missing something because I find it kind of hard to navigate. I wish their board set up was like this one.
