Anyone else willing to admit that they are addicted

MASCARA - Ive found my holy grail Mascara last year.

It was due to a sample, as well.... Estee Lauder More than Mascara in Black.

****ahhhhhhhhh****

There's those darn angels singing again.

It's truly fantastic.

Before the Estee one, I really like MAC (whatever their basic mascara is - in a Black tube) and Cliniques Glossy one.

But the Estee one is waaaaaaaay better and amazing! :yay:

OK, while we are on the subject of mascara, I have a question. Are those mascara that dry up to form little tubes around the eyelashes good? They are so expensive, but I have so much trouble finding a mascara that doesn't flake off that I'd be willing to try it. But I'm not about to spend $20 to have yet another mascara at the bottom of my makeup box.

Oh, and the Sept issue had really good step by step instuctions on how to apply false eyelashes. I want to try that.

TUBING MASCARA - They work, they really, really do. I used it at Typhoon Lagoon last year. (I use gloss & mascara at 'pools' :snooty:  ) No, running, no flaking, nothing....

BUT - they are INCREDIBLY hard to get off. In fact, lets be honest. I had that stuff on my eyes two days before I finally took Biosilk silicone hair shine to a tissue, and rubbed it off.

My g/f loves it. She doesnt buy anything else. She used to get Too Faced brand, until she went to the hair show and stocked up on some other brand that I cant think of, but she was thrilled to pieces to get so cheap! :lmao:

But, she doesnt mind having her lashes always feel like they had 'stuff' on them. I do. I just didnt like it for everyday use.

Now she'll be at WDW again this year when I am.... so I'll be going to her room to apply my mascara (her mascara) before the waterparks. :lmao: :lmao: Cuz, for real.... it does not flake or smudge, and does really 'tube' around your lashes.

In fact - when I wiped the stuff off, I FUH_REAKED for a minute, cuz I looked at the tissue and saw all these 'lashes'!!!

I was like "OH MY GOOOOOOOD!!!" and jumped up and looked in the mirror. I thought my lashes were coming out! No, it was just the 'tubes' coming off.

**Have you ever tried Revlon's 'lash tint'??? It's been out for awhile...but the reason I ask, is because if you have tried it - it's a similar lash feeling. That stuff doesnt come off either... it really *does* last 3 days (or more.... who knows, I'll put hair shine on my eye balls to get it off! )

I love this thread!!! :yay: :dance3:

OK, now that's too (get it? too? ) things from Too Faced that you recommended to try. I want to head to Ulta today to find the tubing mascara and the snow bunny bronzer. I didn't see the snow bunny on the website, but maybe it's in the store. There's a 20% off one item coupon off the website that I printed. I'm ready to go!

When I lived in Vegas there is an outlet mall I used to go in Primm and they had a cosmetics store where they sold the GWP's for many companies. I loved it :lovestruc It was 45 minutes away, but who cares :rolleyes1 :)

:rotfl:

I used to live in vegas too for college and I remember that outlet mall.

when i moved back to southern california i got a job at a williams sonoma and we received our full discount at the outlet (only location in primm). my mom and i would make a trip a month before christmas to shop. i would get a basket full of items for sometimes less than a $100!! i once bought my aunt an espresso machine that had been the previous years model for $30, normally $250...she loved that gift and still uses it three years later.

well it is a 4 hour drive for my mom and i each way and we do it all in one day. plus i get to gamble for a bit.

i know the makeup outlet you are talking about, it's fantastic and i loved stocking up on stila lip gloss.

back to the subject, i am a lip gloss and eyeshadow girl, i use the eyeshadow as my liner using a wet brush and i love all the fun colors i can play with. i have no problem wearing blues and greens and especially purple, makes my blue eyes pop!

i work in a mall and i have a bare escentuals across from me, a brand new nordstroms opening next week outside of me and a sephora below me, its so fun to just play around.

I love makeup too! I have a habit of buying it and then not using it though. I just can't apply it right. I wish I lived by you all and could get a makeup lesson to teach me how to not look like a clown! :rotfl:

Thanks! I see it on Ulta's site now too. It was under Carribean in a compact (but looks out of stock). ooooh I want to try it.

Listening to you all makes me want to call my friend and see about going with her to some makeup shows. It sounds fun!

It starts tomorrow. I am going early.

Cathryn Rose, unfortunately I live in Mass a little too far from Chicago:sad2:

I posted a thread about Japanese Hair Straightening or rebonding. Any of you addicts know anything about it?

I can honestly say no :lmao:

SB, you know men use skin care products. I get products from bzzagent and one of them was Nivea Skin Care for men. My son actually used it. He liked it. I have seen some men wear mascara but then again unless you are Johnny Depp do not try it...you will look like a clown, axe murderer, or female impersinator.

Since I didn't know what the thread was about, I kept skipping over it. But yeah... I'm addicted to makeup. I went to Ulta today. TWICE!

Now nailpolish on the other hand :rolleyes1 I just bought my 11th bottle of OPI  I told myself that I wouldn't buy anymore but I HAD to get a color from that new french collection. Parlez-vous OPI? It was sooooo pretty on that model in the ad.

Oh and I  ULTA!

OOOOOH... is that the really pretty purply shade??? I was just reading In Style and saw and ad for that and I started salivating.

no...not at all...
I want my eyeliner... and lipgloss.. That'll do.

I can't STAND the way foundation feels on my skin, although I have had it put on before, and although it's pretty...I feel tooo... made up I guess.

Even when I was a teen...my mom was the rare mom who told me to put on MORE makeup...lol.. she still tells me I need blush!!

Have you tried Bare Escentuals foundation? You won't even know you have it on.

Yay!!!! This thread is still going!:cool1:

OP I think you need to change the name of this thread!!! You'll get more beauty vixens ;)

I'd makeup shop with you! :flower3:

Thank you!

Extra arms? Heck, Ive moved up to a rolly suitcase!

Once I had to have a cab take us 4 blocks because I had so much crap!:rotfl: The suitcase is a great idea, but if DH saw me putting that in the car forgettahboutit!

DH actually made me a makeup station/vanity in our bedroom!:teeth: He still has no idea how much I really have.:rolleyes1
I had to buy a rolling cart just for the nail stuff.

Alice's Mom- I am so jealous you live THAT close!!!! I miss that mall!

I love OPI, too. I also love China Glaze. And Essie.

FYI - A great topcoat is Out The Door. It makes my pedi's last for at least two weeks. I always bring it with me and they give me dirty looks at the salon.:upsidedow

PS- Can someone tell me how to multiquote??? Please? TIA:flower3:

Waiting for more junkies to join us popcorn::

As you see a post you want to quote, click on the closed quote button for each post. (The one next to the regular quote one).

When you're done going through the responses, click on the "Post Reply" button in the bottom left. It will display everything you mutli-quoted and you can add your responses in where you want.

Hope that helps!!!!

I actually really LOVE Ulta's brand of nail polish. It goes on easily, it stays on, and it feels really smooth and soft to the touch when it's dry. I bought four bottles today! I just wish they had some funkier colors. But for the price, you can't beat it!

:thumbsup2 Love it myself!!!!

And I LOVE Mineral Veil!!! It seems to make the wrinkles go bye-bye!:wave2:

I always thought "That stuff couldn't possibly hide stuff and make my skin look good ":confused3

But it DOES!

I love Ulta's eyeshadow :lovestruc

I also love when they have the Seasonal giveaways where you can try a lot of stuff. You know- those make-up bags with trial sizes.

LOL- We should all get together for the next beauty show in Orlando and take all the non -licensed Disers.

It's the picture of the girl's silhouette (sp???) with the fingers to her mouth and she has on a really pretty dark ring on her finger. If it wasn't for the ad, I never would have picked that shade.

It starts tomorrow. I am going early.

Oops, guess I should go tomorrow then. :goodvibes

Who makes Out The Door? I use Seche Vite. Someone here on the DIS recommended it. She also recommended "Stickey Start" from CND for a base coat. I went out and bought those and my fingers look great for about a week. Which is great because I have to take it off on Sunday nights cause I'm in a Surg Tech program at my community college and my instructor wants to make sure I can scrub correctly. So on Mondays and Tuesdays my nails are nekkid, and then I paint them on Wednesday and they last clear to Sunday.

Seche Vite is good, too - but just I love Out The Door. INM makes it. I've seen it in Rite Aid. And Ulta has it.

My BFF and I go for pedi's together and I always let her use mine. She always remarks how long they last. My pedi still looks good after walking on the beach for a week.

Yep, same one! I was drawn to it the same way you were. I have the page bookmarked... that happened a lot with this issue. *sigh*
