Trust me it was the beginning of February school vacation and all I could obsess about was how much I left behind for the whole week and why I did not use the shopping bags laying around! WTH is wrong with me. I mean other than the birth of my two children this was one of the most memorable events in my life. Seriously ....what a rush! I wonder if the products you mentioned are available at ULTA. I plan on getting me some on Sunday. Today I was at Sephora because I heard about Amazing Cosmetics Conceler. I had a gift card and even though it was cheaper at ULTA it was going to be less of a cost to me to get it at Sephora. Well after 10 minutes with the make up artist (she was going to put it on me with a used brush and from the sample ...no way) we decided on light. When I got to the car I tried it and I looked like a panda. I went back and returned it and they put the credit on my charge soooooooooooo now I can go to ULTA and apply the money from the gift card since it was credited to my charge and actually get it for less. You know what that means....I can buy more with the extra money!

By the way anyone miss the MATRIX color depositing conditioner that was around a couple of years ago. I loved that stuff it really helped me to keep my color. I cannot imagine why they discontinued it.

I looooved the SoColor conditioner but I have splendid news for you! Sexy Hair Concepts makes a shampoo that is just as good! And they sell it at Ulta. And it smells VERY similar to the Matrix one.

Loreal Salon Line also makes one, which they sell at Ulta, however I havent ever tried that one. Goldwell line also makes one - but they dont sell that at Ulta. Goldwell's is the conditioner one.

I really like SunGlitz color shampoo....but good luck finding it. I always get it at the trade show (I mention below)

And YESSSSS they sell the Too Faced bronzer there. I love Snow Bunny & Pink Leopard.

The Nars Blush they have at Sephora.

And the Tigi shadow... like I said, hard to find. But worth hunting for, I swear. Check out eBay.

For the Lancome Lovers if you live near a Lancome outlet like I do (Wrentham Ma) you can really clean up. I got the Finale mascara for 5.00 each it sells for 23 each in Sephora.

By the way I tried that Chanel Mascara Allure sent me. Here's my report:

It in no way can even compare to Diorshow. This mascara made me look like I Minnie Mouse lashes (meaning I looked like I had about 5 thick lashes on each eye. And it had a weird brush.

My Dsis and I went to Harmons the other day. If you don't know Harmons its' kind of like a Duane Reade. So we are in there for a while, I have no idea how long, and my sis comes looking for me .
She says to me "Am I going to have to pull you out of here by your HAIR?".

Nobody wants to make-up shop with me.

You usually need a license- the one's I went to in NYC they checked-it was several years ago. Do you know someone who can take you? I used to take my sis. They are awesome and you can't believe the deals you can get there. You'll need extra arms for all the bags you'll be carrying.

I went for my nail license because I loved beauty so much and really wanted to be involved. I could work part time and I actually did it from home for a while. But I was getting migraines from the acrylic.

When I lived in Vegas there is an outlet mall I used to go in Primm and they had a cosmetics store where they sold the GWP's for many companies. I loved it It was 45 minutes away, but who cares

My mom and her mom were not make up wearers. I begged my mom when I was little for nail polish. She would only let me wear clear. I begged when I was in 9th grade and I got ....RED! Nothing else she would never let me wear it so when I could buy it for myself ....well I could not control myself.

I am obsessed. I'd like to partly blame that on the fact that I am still so young. I love messing with eye make up. I love really crazy colors. My favorite is this shimmery neon green. But, yes, I feel your addiction 100%.

A lot of what I do depends on what I am wearing and how I feel. I tend to match my eye shadow to my outfit.



I also just got my nails done in this great blue color!

I love make-up. I found out that I get a discount at Cinema Secrets in Burbank from work. OMG! Access to PRO make-up and artists to show me how to use it all!

The guy talked me into buying green eye shadow, like forest green. It looks really good with my hazel eyes.

And OPI! They need an AA for us OPI folks. I have three shades of white.

I can't STAND the way foundation feels on my skin, although I have had it put on before, and although it's pretty...I feel tooo... made up I guess.

Even when I was a teen...my mom was the rare mom who told me to put on MORE makeup...lol.. she still tells me I need blush!!

Now that I think of it my Aunt used to have tons of lipstick on her dresser. Since my mom did not wear it it was like a magnet to me. I remember she moved to California but left her make up at my grandmother's. I was 4 years old and my grandmother was babysitting (I know how old I was b/c my mom was preg with my sister at the time). I went to my aunt's room and started playing with the lipstick. I put it on but that was not enough. I put it on the walls, the floor under the bed. I could not control myself. I LOVED it and just putting it on was not enough. My grandmother had fallen asleep watching TV with me. Back then it was so difficult to get lip stick off and keep in mind I was only 4. I went to my grandfather(who let me do ANYTHING and always stuck up for me) who was working in his garden and he got it out. I was like Lady Macbeth....I must say for years later they were finding spots that still had lipstick on them like under the slats of the bed.

In all honesty foundation is not an accessory any more. It is more of a necessity because it has an spf and is a sunscreen. I use Paula's Choice because it has an spf of 30! Paula is Paula Beogouin (Sp) author of "Don't Go to the Make-up Counter Without This Book." It is a great book with thousands of reviews written by Paula and her research staff. www.cosmeticscop.com or www.cosmeticcop.com I cannot remember which one it is. Her make-up is very good and very inexpensive.

Ok. I'm admitting. I don't have a case of makeup, I have a drawer, one of those rolling carts with three drawers. Top is makeup, middle is hair products, bottom is perfume. I guess that is a trifecta (sp?) Love, love, love Sephora. My must-have is eyeliner pencils from Makeup Forever. They literally stay on all day. Also NARS blush in or**sm. Love this thread.

Is it a bad thing that after finally purchasing the French color that I've been wanting ever since I saw the OPI ad, that all I can think of is the pretty pink color that I saw when I was picking up this bottle? You're Such a Kabuki Queen? I need a twelve step program for nail polish.

And I am still crying over the bottle of A Dozen Rosas that fell on the floor and broke. I have a friend who has a license and she told me just to give her a call and we'd go to her beauty supply store and get some deals. She said I can get OPI bottles for $3 each

As for all the other makeup, you guys are hard core! I keep my makeup in a box on my dresser. I really want to get the OPI traincase that I saw at Trade Secret. Its $50 but it's got all these little squares for the bottles to stay in and we won't have anymore accidents. (may my Dozen Rosas rest in peace. )

You need a license, or someone with a license to get you a ticket, to get in, though.... how far are you from Chicago?

Great point!!! Ask ask ask!!! My g/f also owns a salon - so salon's get a chunk of tickets, as well.
