to make up? I have tons and tons and I still want more. I am so stupid I belive the claims too. I bought Thinny Chin from Bliss for around 50 it does help to smooth lines but it does not help much else. I also just saw and posted on another post Amazing Cosmetics conceler and now am going to get that. How do I stop? I use Patricia Wexler and a bunch of other mid range and high range things. I cannot stop! Is there a 12 step problem for make up addicts?

My husband takes care of my makeup addiction in one step, straight to the garbage can. I also love makeup. I tend to buy Lancome mostly but try other stuff out when I can. I could spend hours in Sephora and not just because that's how long it takes to get someone to help me.

I'm with you sister!

I have one of those cute plastic Huggies Wipes containers FULL of eyeshadows. In fact, I have to start another one because I've been having trouble closing the lid :) .

Not me. I'm a bare minimum kind of girl when it comes to make-up. I think I have four products...all Covergirl...in my make-up bag (foundation, powder, blush and mascara). No lip stuff. No eye shadow. No concealer. To me it is just a big waste of money. You don't see guys buying all of these products to make them look "better". I am who I am, wrinkles/imperfections and all!

For the record, I'm also not a jewelry or purse girl. I guess I'm pretty low-maintenance! Besides, I'd rather save all of my extra cash for traveling!

Good luck getting help for your addiction.

Not only make up - but hair and nail product junkie :hyper:

If it's new, I buy it. I've been on Allure's list and they just recently sent me a new mascara to try and report on. I was so excited!!! I didn't have to buy it!

Whenever my make-up and nail stock gets too much, I fill a bag and my Mom takes it to a Developmental Center. They get so excited for make-up. I just wipe it all down with alchohol prep pads. And lipsticks just cut the top off. Some stuff I never even USED!

I have to stay away from Sephora, Ulta, Harmons, Bloomingdales, MAC Store...

Must. Stay. Away.:upsidedow

Well count me in... and to make it worse.. I sell AVON, so I get all my makeup at a discounted price.. I am my own best customer ;)

I have my "at home" makeup bag

My "travel" make up bag

plus we own a second home, so I have another at home and travel bag

:rotfl:

I used to sell Avon. Well, I used to buy lots of Avon at my discount and had a few friends buy from me too. I was spending so much on it, I had to quit. Same with Pampered Chef. Though I'd love to do Avon again for the discount.

I, too, love makeup! As well as hair products, nail polish, etc. My sweetie just bought me an ULTA gift card on Wednesday! I'm going tomorrow to get a haircut in the ULTA salon and then some shopping! :cool1:

I don't think I'm addicted. I do like to have makeup. I've got
one bottle of foundation
one blush
two packs of eyeshadow

and maybe one or two of each thing that is needed. If I find myself getting low, I go buy another.

Now nailpolish on the other hand :rolleyes1 I just bought my 11th bottle of OPI  I told myself that I wouldn't buy anymore but I HAD to get a color from that new french collection. Parlez-vous OPI? It was sooooo pretty on that model in the ad.

Oh and I  ULTA!

ULTA has a coupon this week starting on 8/31 for 20% off your ENTIRE order. I guess I was unclear I am addicted to ALL beauty products and hair and nail are included. IF you have an OPI addiction then you can feed it for much less at www.transderm.com comes to about 4.75 a bottle with shipping and all those cute buy one get one sets you get in the stores are about 40% off.

For the Lancome Lovers if you live near a Lancome outlet like I do (Wrentham Ma) you can really clean up. I got the Finale mascara for 5.00 each it sells for 23 each in Sephora.

You know you are addicted when you have tons and tons and tons of make up. So much that if you were asked to make up ALL the Disney Cast members including the men you would still have enough left over to make up the Universal Cast memebers office workers included!

Not me. I only wear make up a couple times a year. :confused3

I also don't buy jewelry, purses or shoes. My DH is a lucky man. :rotfl:

Ya know what I just bought - Bare Essentials (I think its by Mare Minerals) and its great. I use the.... I don't know what its called but it takes away any shine, and on top of that I use something to make me look a bit darker. I really love them, and if you have a store near you, I highly recommend taking a look!

Did I just make your DH mad????

Now that you mention it I am also addicted to jewelry and shoes but in all honesty I have had surgery on my little toe and I am on a quest for fashionable yet non painful shoes ....they do not exist but I never find that out until after I have worn them for a day or two.

Not all makeup, but most importantly lip gloss...I must have 20 different kinds :lmao:

Twenty? Pffft....amateur. :snooty:

;)

Uhhh - heck yeah I am. Want me tp post a pic of my makeup case(s)?

Theyre normally used for tools.

HMMM well I will raise you a tool box and throw in a train case, tote bag and three vainity draws. To be fair I have a friend who buys tons and tons of make up and never uses it. She buys the really expensive stuff too. She gives it to me still in the box and never used. Then again there was my experience with my tons of free MAC( went to eat at Maggianos once and MAC had a meeting in the function room with all its makeup artists. They left the entire line which consisted of everything imaginable. The cleaners let me take ALL I wanted unfortunately I was going to the theatre and had an evening bag. I got about 300.00 woth but I wish I had stuffed it in my bra and panty hose too!).

Since we're taling makeup....

Have any of you tried:

Too Faced - Snow Bunny Bronzer/Highlighter? *ahhhhhh* (thats angel's singing) If you want the bestest, freshest glow, then you have to try it. It looks especially good with....

Nars Outlaw (or Deep Throat) blush. Man! Your cheeks will look like movie star cheeks!

Moving on.... TiGi BedHead Cyberoptics eyeshadows. Im not joking. You thought MAC shadow was good? Please, this stuff blow MAC out of the water. Its truly a m a z i n g!!!! Hard to find, though. Its a salon product. BUT, eBay always has some availible... gotta check often. My favorite? Champagne and Velvet! Ooo La La!

Shall we discuss gloss or eyeliner now?

Trust me it was the beginning of February school vacation and all I could obsess about was how much I left behind for the whole week and why I did not use the shopping bags laying around! WTH is wrong with me. I mean other than the birth of my two children this was one of the most memorable events in my life. Seriously ....what a rush! I wonder if the products you mentioned are available at ULTA. I plan on getting me some on Sunday. Today I was at Sephora because I heard about Amazing Cosmetics Conceler. I had a gift card and even though it was cheaper at ULTA it was going to be less of a cost to me to get it at Sephora. Well after 10 minutes with the make up artist (she was going to put it on me with a used brush and from the sample ...no way) we decided on light. When I got to the car I tried it and I looked like a panda. I went back and returned it and they put the credit on my charge soooooooooooo now I can go to ULTA and apply the money from the gift card since it was credited to my charge and actually get it for less. You know what that means....I can buy more with the extra money!

By the way anyone miss the MATRIX color depositing conditioner that was around a couple of years ago. I loved that stuff it really helped me to keep my color. I cannot imagine why they discontinued it.
