Love it, although I can only watch some parts. I'm such a baby when it comes to horror films!

I just saw an epsiode of GHOST HUNTERS on the Sci Fi Channel where the team went to explore paranormal activity in that hotel for the show's season finale. A)It's gorgeous! B) Steven King is a freak (and I work with his doppleganger, so much so that when we're on business trips, he often gets special favors from hotels and restaurants. He SERIOUSLY looks like the man!). C) I did'tn realize it was a REAL hotel based on (some) real events.

Now see,I'm a sicko who is into hardcore horror..Argento, Fulci, asian horror etc. I do think the Shining is a masterpiece, even if it didn't stick to the book

I will say though that I did like the Stephen King produced mini-series of this better. Though not as outright in your face scary, it scared me even more with King's double meanings. I understand why he wanted to remake it.

That version was truer to the book obviously. I enjoyed that one also. Stephen Weber was very good!
