It was really interesting to me. What a brat that Jordan girl is. Duncan Nutter Sr. about drove me crazy. In fact, the only "normal" family out there was the mom and little girl that had the part in That's So Raven. They had a true, loving bond. The rest of them were a bit looney.

Call me crazy, but the boy who sings that lives in Kissimmee....he sure looks a lot like the kid who comes in and plays Yu-Gi-Oh with a group of rowdy boys. Even the mom looks familiar. Guess I'll have to ask if that's them!::yes::

Just finished watching. I can't believe what a wicked child Jordan was. Her mother gave up her life for her and this is how the child treats her? No way would I ever have been able to get away with that.

I did like the family with the little girl on That's So Raven. How adorable they were!

Some of the other parents were a tad nuts, in my book.

Being a Pageant Mom I liked it. Very interesting my daughter watched it to since she wants to be famous and she is only 6.

I saw it also. I thought it was pretty interesting. I didn't think the kid from Kissimmee was a very good singer but thats only my opinion.

Steparoonie-I completely agree with everything you said. The only family that seemed normal was the one connected with That's so Raven. Did you see the preview for next week:eek: Duncan Nutter looks like he is pretty 'unbalanced" , to put it mildly!

I happened to catch the last half hour of it. It just goes to show that you can have "normal" kids and "bratty" kids in every walk of life. Stage parents are no different than "soccer" parents or "t-ball" parents. It doesn't have to be the activity that changes the child, but the way the family (specifically the parents) handle the situation. I know that a lot of people think that parents are bad to allow their children to get into show business, but it can be done the right way. Plus, our children love to watch children's shows, so there is a definite need for child actors.

Very good points, goodstarr.

Jasminesmommy, I'd be interested to hear your opinion on the pageant family. IMO, it was very sad to see the little girl just wanting to play while her mother kept badgering her with the questions they would ask. Honestly, I felt that their segments reinforced the negative stereotypes about children's pageants.

I don't buy the 4yr old lovin' the pageant life!! It made me sick to watch this mother! She wouldn't let this little kid go to the bathroom!!! Sorry, but no one is going to convince me this is good for children this young. They should be somewhere playing and enjoy a STRESS FREE life at such a young age.

Did you catch when the oldest of the "Nutter" kids said we don't want to go on auditions, it's just easier to go than fight not going. That doesn't sound right to me.

I too think Mr. Nutter is a "nutter" as my British pal would say.

The whole show ~ except as mentioned for the little girl from Raven and her momma ~ gave me a severe case of the willies! I think they could have called it "Parents Who Try to Live Vicariously Through Their Poor Children"

I watched it for like the first time last night. That Jordan is such a little twit. And that little girl in the pagents...I felt so bad for her. I also agree that the little girl in That's So Raven and her mom were the only loving normal ones. The Nutters REALLY annoy me. I always say I would love to be famous...but if you have to go through that...I'd rather be my boring self. Multiple sports every season and sports camps in the summer are enough for me!!!

Jordan Barron is the bratty girl....Jordan Moseley is the girl from That's So Raven. What a shame they have to share the same name.

While it sounds bad, I will admit that Shane Klingensmith from Kissimmee really can't sing. He doesn't look...natural...dancing, either. I think that's definetly a mom trying to live through her son...this is the way the show describes her: Motivated Florida mom Debbie Klingensmith and son Shane, who she hopes to groom into a teen heartthrob and singing sensation.

Jordan Barron is one of the BIGGEST brats I have ever seen. If I ever talked to my mother that way, she would have smacked me into next year. How rude can a teenager possibly be?! I know that she IS a teenager, but she really needs to step it down in front of the cameras. Then again, she may be acting worse to get that attention on screen.

I feel bad for the Nutter family, with the exception of Duncan Nutter, Sr. He's just...looney. He can see that his family (even his wife) doesn't like doing any of this kind of work, and yet he keeps pushing them and pushing them to do it because HE wants them to.

Poor little Emily Tye...you can tell she's going to be one of those kids who will end up faking everything in her life. When her mom was pushing her to smile while hugging the winner showed you exactly what I meant....she went from sad and depressed to happy and cheery in a blink of an eye.

While not ALL stage moms and dads are like this, too many are. It's really sad.

I liked it alot andshowed the true side of pageantry. You need to fullfill obligations while a queen and while competing you need to practice in order to win. I'm sure she has her play time but since each person had about 15 minutes of airtime that make it seem like thats all they do. Pageants are great for girly girls who play dress up at home with mommys makeup and clothes. As far as her not wanting to do pageants its no differnt then a child doing sports and wanting to quit and the parents saying the are a team and you can't let your team down. Or kids in dances and dance recitals I'm sure those parents wouldn't take the kid out of a recital and mess the whole recital up. People just have problems with pageants and dislike it regardless but kids will still play dress up. My daughter is 6 and she is the one who picks her pageants. I always ask if she wants to do it and once I pay there is no backing out but she is the girly girl so she loves dressing up. I only had oneproblem with her and we quit for a year and she begged to do them again but she learned not to complain or thats the end for a long time.

My favorite comment from the Pageant mom was saying to her daughter "It's not about winning honey, we are doing this for fun" then saying to the cameras that if she doesn't start winning they are going to quit.
Suurree they are doing it for fun.

That bratty Jordan made we want to scream! I couldn't believe how rude and nasty she was to her mother.

Mr. Nutter- A little nutty.

The Other Jordan was a doll and the mom was great also. They are a well adjusted family. :)

Perhaps the reason Jordan and her mom came off so well (and the others didn't) is because they are actually getting work and therefor have proof that their hardwork has paid off.
