That the DVC Point Charts are not out for the 2010 Cruises? They are made, but they haven't posted them on the member website yet. I am getting tired of having to call in and get point quotes, instead of being able to just look online.

Sorry, just had to vent and see if anyone else was frustrated!

Thanks!

Scott

They are slow on releasing a lot of information.

The hours for the parks are usually not realsed until 4 or 5 months prior, yet the ADR's are done at 6 months. So your schedule for meals needs to be made before you know the hours for the parks.

I get mailings and emails from Disney about special events going on during certain times during the year, but it's well after the banking time or for people who schedule their trips about a month out instead of 11 months out.

I'm already starting to look at a Jan 2010 trip.

Nope, not a problem for me. I don't use points for cruises anymore.

I know what you mean, I spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to get the points and cash price for the TA cruises. I think it would save the cm's alot of hassle if they would just put it on the website! I felt bad for asking so many questions that could have been answered by posting it. I even tried to ask some of you loyal DISers for the info to avoid a long wait on the phone. I always need to study the charts to figure out what my plans are before I call MS!

I agree!:thumbsup2 They should be up already! The points have been out since last week. Even if its not pretty, they could put up an Adobe file.

I too called y-day to get points. The TA 2010 points are not bad especially considering you do not have to put a deposit down and you can lock in the air fare to or from Barcelona (pay cash for air at time of booking but fully refundable 90 prior to sailing) which is pretty reasonable.

I can use 2010 points now for a 2010 cruise so no upfront costs for booking today.

Yes! I can't see us going back to Florida in 2010, but might be interested in cruising again in. It sure would help with planning if we could just look online. :rolleyes1

LIFERBABE & parrotheadmom - would you care to share how many points are required for the TA's? At the moment, those are the cruises that are interesting me the most - loads of sea days. :cloud9:

For the April 2010 TA

Cat 11 164 First 2 Adults/104 kids under 13
Cat 10 189/104

We are in a Cat 10 so didnt request the others.

Air is running $993 each Round trip from our Home Airport. You can book cruise on points and have the option of booking Air thru DCL, payable in full at time of booking. Air pkg thru DCL also includes RT transfers to and from ports, so definitely not a bad deal. I doubt we will find better on our own, but will definitely check.
You have 90 days prior to travel to cancel your air and receive a full refund, so it is a good hedge against increasing fares until the airlines release their 2010 schedules. Right now I have a cash reservation with a deposit, but hope to switch to points later, once we are definite we are going.

HTH! After our 15 day Panama, we are looking forward to the sea days too. We really enjoyed them and I had a time dragging the boys off the ship when we were in port. They wanted to go back to the clubs:goodvibes

I think the food will be better on the EB leaving Port Canaveral than after 5 months in Europe.;)

Thanks for all the info, LIFERBABE! :thumbsup2

I don't know if DCL will organise our airfare since we're over in Scotland, and I'm sure we'll be a lot more than $1000 per person for airfare, but WOW those point quotes are sooo appealing! :goodvibes

I liked the sea days, but DD loved them! When we were on the WB PC Repo, she would say "oh, not another place to go see!" At night, she would ask where we'd be the next day. If we said nowhere, just the ship, she was like "Yay!" :cheer2: :rotfl2: Doesn't mean too much to DH either way as he sees the sea plenty with work. :rolleyes1

You are welcome!

My boys were the same way! We were on the WB PC too:wizard: They loved the cruise and my youngest really wanted to stay for the 5 day cruise right after, but I had already cancelled that to stay at WDW for 5 nights.
