Okay, so I made my ADRs Friday morning and thought that would be the end of it, but no...I keep going back and tweaking times, rethinking restaurant choices...I need serious help. We are staying 10 nights so I have a few out-of-pocket choices here. Please, any feedback on this schedule so I will just stop obsessing about it. TIA!!
11/11--nothing
11/12--dinner Hacienda de San Angel for Illuminations
11/13--breakfast Kona Cafe oop, dinner 'Ohana
11/14--dinner Boma
11/15--lunch Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package
11/16--dinner Garden Grill
11/17--dinner The Plaza oop
11/18--"brunch" Tusker House
11/19 (my dd's birthday) 8:05 breakfast Crystal Palace, lunch Be Our Guest, dinner HDDR
11/20--California Grill oop
11/21--lunch Be Our Guest, dinner Akershus
*sigh* I know it's a lot of food, but we play hard and eat hard!

Looks good and I don't think you're overdoing it at all except for your DD's birthday, which is what birthdays are for!

What do you mean San Angel for Illuminations though??

Our reservation is for 8:30pm at San Angel. It's supposedly an awesome view of Illuminations

I am also an absolute FREAK with adjusting my ADR's, omg. I cant stop...

Hi! I would recommend changing this day up a bit. Speaking from experience, I wouldn't do Crystal Palace plus Be Our Guest plus HDDR all in one day. At most, I would pick two of these. Not only will most of the day be spent getting to/sitting at your ADRs, but that is a TON of food. Both CP and HDDR are all you care to eat. And trust me, me and DBF are HUGE eaters.

Maybe try moving one of these around to another day. All three are on my favorite list. Hoop De Doo is our #1 must do! We did it twice last year!

Have a wonderful trip.

I promise, I'm not stalking you, but we have the same breakfast and lunch planned for 11/19 :)

La Hacienda has some tables with an excellent view of IllumiNations, but many tables with obstructed, poor or no view at all. While you can request a table with a view, most have posted that La Hacienda does not take requests and you will have to accept the first table for your party size. If IllumiNations is important it is better to plan dinner early enough that you will be finished and have time to find a place somewhere around the lagoon. There are plenty of good spots; choose one with a view of the center of the lagoon (no trees or islands in the way) and upwind of the smoke.

Yeah, I kind of figured that we wouldn't get a table right next to a window, but I thought we'd have a better chance there than Akershus! :) We'll be at Epcot again later in the week, so no biggie if it doesn't work out!

Ive developed OCD for my ADR's and FP+. the only upside is that I scored a later Ohana's at 3 weeks out which became an better timed Ohana yesterday 16 days out.
I really want to try for a BOG dinner my first night, but I cant get my MDE on my phone to find a table. And I learned with my Ohana adr, the web site is useless for doing this.

Hi, my name is mac3mpc and I suffer from ADR OCD. I seriously check and rethink my ADRs on a daily basis. I think I've changed things at least 8 or 9 times since my 180 day mark less than a month ago. It makes DH crazy. He finally said to just tell him when and where to show up when we get there. lol

Jeez, 10 days.

That's all I have to take from this.
What, too long? We can't go every year. We're lucky if we go every other year. So, we took advantage of the FD and decided to extend the stay....hoping my kid's school doesn't mind too much :(

Have you thought about paying OOP for HDDR? Unless you are booking the latest show at 8, you can't use the dining plan for Tier 1 seats. I would also price out what you would eat at California Grill vs. the cost of HDDR.

Your plans look amazing. I wanna join you (my family is picky so places like San Angel or Boma will never happen, le sigh...). Very exciting bday for your DD!

I too have ADR OCD.

Booked FD package when it was first released...can't remember the date. I keep all my ADR confirmation emails in a folder...to date I have 100 emails...that means 50 cancellations and 50 new ADR reservations....doesn't help that we changed dates and had to add a few more days than anticipated. I'm online every morning seeing if I can tweak my times or if the highly coveted BOG dinner ADR magically appears.

DW just laughs at me....but appreciates the planning that is going into our trip.

I must confess, I do the same. I have changed ours and made them more friendly. After I made FP, I even changed more. Some just an 30minutes to 1 hour later to give us more time before dinner. We have 47 days left, I haven't touched them for maybe a week but that could change at any time. I almost made a reservation for the Boathouse the other day. I had to stop myself.

You have a point about paying oop at HDDR vs. California Grill. We are booked Category 1 at 8:30, and I figured we could share some apps and an entree at CG. But I'm still not sure which way we'd come out on top. HDDR just seemed
SO $$$!

You are well organized. I think you've got this!

You've probably done the math right if you guys going to share/eat "lightly" at CG.

OCD here, too. I feel like I'm constantly checking for ADRs! I got everything I wanted at 180 days, but then we added 2 days onto our trip in order to get FD. So, now I'm trying to fill those 2 extra TS and move others around just to make them more convenient. And, of course, everything I want to get/change is hard to get :rolleyes1
