Anyone else out of the groove this holiday season

Is it just me or is anyone else out of the groove the xmas. It just does not seem like the holiday is 6 days away. It came so quick. I don't feel like I have any holiday spirit. And then New Years comes right after. I cannot believe a whole year has gone by.

sandramaac I am with ya on this one. It doesn't even feel like the holidays too me at all. Guess it's because I'm not home yet. Just can't believe Christmas is next Wednesday.

I'm trying and trying, but I had more Holiday spirit last month. Weird.

My mantra this week is: You're doing this for your kids. Over and over to myself as I'm getting everything ready for next week.

I know! Maybe we all need to go Christmas Carolling. That may do the trick...

You've got that one right...I wish I could get out of this funk I am in!...I haven't even finished my decorations that I normally put up or finished shopping!...yikes...I know I will feel even worse on Christmas too if I don't shape up!

I've been in a funk too. I was in more of a Holiday Spirit last month!!! It's work that's doing it, and I know that, but it's hard to change my feelings!

I am NOT hosting any parties this year. So what I have done will be good enough.

The fact that I am sitting here reading this board instead of wrapping presents says something about my spirit this year! I just can't get into it either and I don't know why, except that I feel overloaded.

My new favorite holiday is Martin Luther King Day. Don't have to travel, don't have to cook a big meal, no presents to buy, no cards to send, just a day to relax!

I'm with all of you. I have zero holiday spirit this year. I didn't even have a desire to get a tree, but got one just because it's the thing to do. I still have shopping to do, and here I sit. It just doesn't feel at all like Christmas this year. I suspect it's partly because everyone is in such a hurry to start the Christmas season lately. Decorations in stores in JULY. People putting up lights in September. It's just not a separate season anymore. It's all year long, and that's sad.

I don't have much either. I wasn't in the mood in the first place then my roommate told me what she told me last night. Now, my other female roommate just came home and told me she broke up with her boyfriend. My b/f is going up north for Christmas (he's leaving Monday and won't be back until the following Monday.) My kids are the only reason I have any Christmas spirit left at all.
