Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else on the DIS boards are on the Jan 30th, 3 day cruise with us.

Wanted to go on the AP cruise but couldn't swing it so took the next best thing, the following week, so away we go.

This will be our second Disney cruise. First was in Oct 02, 4 dayer.

Well I guess I'm hooked.

KennyK,

My mother, sisters and I will be on the 1/30 Wonder. My husband, myself and my 2 daughters sailed the Wonder 2 years ago. Then I recently went on a Royal Caribbean cruise. I decided that cruises would be so fun with a group of people (family and friends). So, I persuaded my sisters and mother to go on Disney to try cruising. None have ever been on a cruise. All are leaving their families behind. It's going to be a girl's only cruise for us! Hopefully it will be the beginning of a family tradition. Maybe next time we will even bring the kids!

Glad to see your post - I was starting to think there weren't any people from the DIS Boards signed up for the January 30th Wonder! This will be our first cruise, so we wanted to just try a 3-day one. From all I've been reading, it won't be our last! Will you have your lime green ribbons on? We'll be on the lookout!

Well Amy, Penny & Dean,

Glad to see other Dis's sailing on this cruise. As I had mentioned in my orginal posting, this will be our second Disney cruise. Our 1st was in Oct 02 with my daughter her son and daughters girl friend. Our grandson had a great time in the childrens programs. The dining rooms were excellent. Just a total Disney experience.

We will be wearing our lime green ribbons on. We'll taking DCL transfers also. We're also on the second dining rotation.

This trip is just wife and myself. One of those spur of the moment things.

On our first cruise we had a CAT 4. This trip will be a CAT 11. I guess I'll have to grim and bare it going from a verrander to an inside stateroom, but what the heck its still on the Disney Wonder.

I noticed that both of you are relatively new to the DIS boards. There is a wealth of information on this board given out. Just ask away. There are also two great sites. Daves DCtribute site and Barb and Tony's Castaway site. They have navigators, pictures etc on line.

Welcome aboard and hope we can at least get together some where.

BUMP!

Anyone else joining us?

We will also be on the second dining rotation. And we are so excited to go - we leave tomorrow for 5 days in WDW before the cruise. Hope it warms up! (But it's 20 degrees below zero here, so anything will be warmer!)

Hi everybody! DH, DSs 5yo and 7yo, and I will be on the 1/30 Wonder cruise. It is our first Disney cruise. DSs don't know about the trip yet. We will pick them up at school next Wed. and drive straight to the airport. We just booked the cruise about 10 days ago so I missed this thread when first started. DH asked me the other day if I was going to wear one of those lime green ribbons like I have done at WDW (obviously hoping that I wasn't going to because I have never found another Diser at WDW, and DH thinks I made up this "silly" ribbon idea). We are in a cat. 4 because I found a good deal on Travelocity. See you onboard. Pamela:bounce:

Hi pamela,

As I said before welcome aboard. We'll have those silly green ribbons on our carry on and maybe on our jackets or shirt. On our last cruise and also at WDW we haven't seen anyone with those ribbons either. But then there are alot of people there.

We're flying in around 9:15 on that thursday. If you have transfers just look for the person from Disney when you get to the regular concourse. They'll escort you down stairs to where the buses are. I beleive you said you will have to fill out your docs at the terminal so they will have to give you your transfer voucher at the airport.

The bus ride takes about 45 - 1 hour from airport to port. I guess you will have to retreive your bags as you don't have bag tags.

We were in a Cat 4 on our last cruise in October and the room is great, especially for a family. The doors for the verrandar has a child proof lock up high, just make sure if you leave door open that you watch your children. The water rushing by the ship can be so fascinating. One one of our cruises on a Prince's cruise and had to yell at a young child in a balcony below who was climbing up onto a chair next to the railing. her parents were inside the stateroom but not watching her. You'll have plenty of room. we had 4 adults and 1-10 yr old in the room and really didn't have a room problem.

What seating are you on. 1st or 2nd.??

Good luck on your trip. maybe we'll see there.

Because we booked so late, our only option was 2nd seating. Looking at the navigators online, there is clearly plenty to keep us busy until our late (by our standards) dinner. DSs easily and proudly stayed up until midnight on New Year's Eve this year so we don't think we will have much problem with late dining (and if we do, it's off to the Oceaneer Club for them.;) ). Going to look for my green ribbon now. Pamela

Hi Pamela,

We have second seating also. we had it on our 1st cruise and really liked it. It's not so late that it make dinner unbearable. Who knows maybe we'll be together.

My son lives down in Georgia also. he lives outside of Augusta and works for Club Car in their IT department.
