Really don't have any interest in going back any time soon?

It just dawned on me - as I'm sitting here posting on a site dedicated to WDW - that I don't have any trips planned and don't really have any interest in going back..:confused3 It could be "overload" - because I've gone several times since 2001 - but it just holds no appeal for me right now..

While I really enjoyed my past trips, I notice that I have developed a "been there, done that" attitude..

Anyone else?

I know.. Now I'll probably get kicked off the boards..:rotfl:

I sure hope not, or I'll be gone too. Mine has more to do with needing money for other things. My student loans are coming due all too soon.

On that note, I will have enough for my new transmission in 2 weeks. I will get my car back soon, yay!

My family is taking a little break from "the World". We have gone every year on spring break but next year we are going to go on a cruise instead. I have gotten the feeling the past couple of trips that we get bored partway through and maybe a change would be nice. Personally, I have pretty much never been anywhere but Disney on vacation and I want to see what else is out there. Still, we have lots of happy memories and I do hope we go back in a couple of years. I just need a vacation from my vacation, I guess.

Yep. When my AP expires in January, it will be the first time I don't plan to renew (I bought it in 2000). We are saving all extra money so we can move, so vacations are out for now. And I admit I am losing interest in Disney and have different priorities now. Such is life!

My wife just promised me a 5 year break on WDW trips. Woo Hoo! :cool1:

We go strong for a bunch of years, then we take a long break from WDW by visiting other places. We are currently on WDW break time.

I enjoy visiting new places. I can't imagine a life of nothing but WDW vacations year after year.

I figure as great as WDW is, there are other places I might like too. Its like eating steak each and every time you go out to eat. Sometimes, you might like Italian, or Taco Bell for goodness sake.

I've had a wonderful time each visit to WDW, but the crowds really got to me last time. Everywhere I went, no matter what time of day, I felt like I was part of a herd of cattle. It dawned on me that it just wasn't doing it for me anymore. Maybe we'll go in a few years, but right now we're discovering other places.

I am stuck in a DH imposed exile for a while... does that count? We were supposed to go in May, but that was sidetracked by DS's health. I had pushed the trip until December but now DH is so worried about the new Flu, and I'm in grudging agreement, that he won't even THINK about another trip to anywhere crowded until this all blows over to his satisfaction. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Where in the world would I WANT to go that is not crowded because no-one else wants to be there???

I don't have any trips planned and I haven't been in 4 years, but it's not for lack of want. We definitely wish we could go back, but ours is a definite lack in funds that has kept us from going the past 4 years and will most likely keep us from going for quite a while as well...:sad1:

No trips in the immediate future. Too many other places that I want to go to. Now ds will go to Disneyland in August for one day with his sister, niece and nephew. Haven't been there for about 3 years. I have disney reward dollars that need to be used, so they will get admission paid and have a little left to spend. Also get free stroller rental and other discounts with the card.

Same thing for us at Disneyland. The crowds are terrible no matter when you go now! We won't be back anytime in the next few years, and for the first time, I'm not sad at all about it!

The crowds got to us too. These Disney promotions are great if they help people afford the trip but dang they kill the trip for some of the rest of us.

We're taking a break. We traditionally go from the Friday before Thanksgiving til the Saturday after and then again for a week starting Memorial Day weekend. Now though our daughter is in high school and is a cheerleader, so Thanksgiving is out. Then they always leave for cheerleader camp the last day of school which is the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. So it looks like no trips for a good long time.

Let me start by saying I go to WDW at least once a year and usually twice.. I absolutely love it! We did a family vacation there last August and then I decided to do a solo trip in April and I realized at that time that I need to do other things..

Me and DH are going on a Carnival cruise next month and were going to go to WDW for 5 days afterwards but I cancelled it and we decided to go on a 4 day Disney cruise.. I am so psyched to go on this.. Its something Ive wanted to do for the last 10 years..

Next year me and DD are going to Universal instead of Disney becuase we've never been there... we always go to WDW.. so we are both excited about this...

I figure we will go back to WDW in 2011 perhaps.. Im looking forward to the break..

Well you can kinda add me to the list.

We have done epcot, animal kingdom, unverisal studios, and seaworld. Now i want to go back and do mk and hollywood studios and then we are done.

There are so many places to travel and see and due !!!!

I want to go to like Austerilla next !!!

We went to Orlando in March and didn't even go to WDW. We did go to DTD a few times for dinner, but other than that we did other things like Sea World and jet skis!

We don't have any trips planned, but lately our trips have been last minute, so who knows!

We went in June and, while we all had a good time, DH and I both want to go other places for awhile and skip Disney. We mostly went b/c of the military deal that was going on for tickets and hotels, and we had $500 in Disney Rewards accumulated.

We have noticed a decline in food in a couple places we used to love and the prices have really gone up a lot. We encountered more CM's this trip who just didn't seem to care about anything or were a little rude. Also, I am not prejudiced at all, but when you hire CM's from China or other foreign countries, PLEASE make sure they can speak CLEAR English. I couldn't understand a WORD the CM in Bug's Life show was saying. We encountered this in a few attractions/restaurants on our trip in June.

While I will always love Disney and cherish the memories we've made over the years, I think it is time for us to move on. We are greatly looking forward to going to vacations in new places.

We are definately taking a break. DH is not a fan, and I promised that after this last trip (which he refused to go on), that I will not plan another for a long time. Before the trip I was sad, but afterwards I was okay with it. We had a wonderful time, but I am ready to try something new. My husband and I are planning a cruise (just the two of us!) for 2011. I told my kids if they want to go back, they can take me!
