The DD's will be going to their dads at about 10ish...DBF and I were planning on going skiing at okemo in the afternoon, but they're forcasting RAIN!!! so that wont be happening.

We talked about it last night, and it looks like we'll be going to the video store saturday and renting a ton of movies, and just spending the day lounging on the couch watching movies..

My brother is having a 'party' at his house christmas day with my mom etc... but i have no desire to go...I'd rather stay home and watch tv in my jammies all day, after cleaning up the mess the dd's make in the morning!

Anyone else having a lazy christmas day?

We're not doing a thing! We had Christmas as a family last Saturday. DD is leaving for her dad's tomorrow afternoon and will be gone till 1/7.

DH and I are just planning on lounging around all day. I did buy a ham for dinner but that's about all we have on the agenda. I can't wait!

:wave2: Yup...was on the beach last Xmas. Kinda like the other end of the spectrum now. Ain't gonna do squat. :teeth:

I have tomorrow off, so I wil do my grovery shopping and planning, then. It will probably take a long time to open gifts, I might do a quiche for brunch, no clue on dinner, yet.

We will probably spend a lot of time playing with a doll house and with the kids' new games. A friend of theirs gave them Twister - should be a hoot.

I really enjoy not having to rush all over the place on Christmas.

We aren't doing much either. It used to be that we planned the day at home so the kids could spend the whole day with their new toys having fun. Now the kids are 18 and almost 15 so there's just not much to look forward to anymore. It really makes me sad. :sad2: I'm feeling the need for some little kids and santa magic this year!
I guess we will do the usual. The kids still like to get up early and open presents so we will do that then have breakfast. Then I'll watch the WDW parade while everybody else goes back to sleep for a little while. Then DD18 will probably go to her BF's house for a while. I'll make dinner at some point in the day and then that's pretty much it. Then there the after Christmas sales to look forward to the next day!

We are staying home to open gifts and play with them, and then going to a late afternoon dinner across town - NO DRIVING - YAY!

How do I find the WDW parade on our local listings? What channel is it usually on? I might like to check it out.

we're opening everything christmas eve and sleeping in on christmas day.

I have to work on christmas eve :guilty: *saddness* but it's okay.

i'll have enough time to get to the christmas eve partay and wake up christmas day for presents :teeth: i'm such a kid at heart :earboy2:

I think its on ABC you might want to check your local ABC stations website?

I've read on here something about it being on at like 3am....

Christmas Day is always low key for us. We usually sit around and wait for the kids to get up, they are never up before us on Christmas, then open presents, have breakfast, sit around in jammies for the morning. I usually make a big meal for late afternoon but I am thinking of doing that Christmas eve and then we can have left overs and snacky food around all day one Christmas Day.

Family tradition is open gifts, eat lunch at P.F. Chang & watch a X-mas movie.
That's evey year :grouphug:

hi
us, we are going for along hike, having turkey sandwich, mince pie and tangerine picnic.
son and friend coming over for main meal boxing day, then i am back at work for three nights. jan3rd we travel to orlando. i shall sleep all the way there!! :cool1:

I will be exchanging/opening gifts and then heading off for the movie theatre.

I don't plan on doing much, since I am away from my family. I am in Edinburgh with my best friend, so we will exchange presents and are stuffing stockings for each other, and making a small Christmas dinner, but the normal Christmas madness won't be happening. A package my mom sent with gifts and Christmassy things for the two of us hasn't arrived yet, and if it doesn't it will probably be a very quiet Christmas - lots of TV and rest, really.

Sleeping in really late since my stepsister doesn't get here until noon, then opening presents and a big dinner. But all at my house. If my mom would let me I'd stay in my pj's all day
Normally we spend Christmas day bouncing between my parents' houses, but dad's on the other side of the country on business this year so it'll be quieter

I was successful in completely ignoring Thanksgiving this year. A FIRST!!   I'm hoping for the same with Christmas. So in that effort, we'll be doing the same thing we did on Thanksgiving... www.geocaching.com

After being woken up early with the kids and watching them open their presents we will have cinnimon buns & cocoa until it is time for the WDW parade. We usually stay in our PJs until 11 or so and put everything together...there wont be much of that this year though thank goodness! ;) Dinner will be around 1. We will celebrate DH's birthday with desert after leftovers later on.

Open Presents and watch WDW Christmas parade and then go over my cousin's for the party that's it.

Doing Christmas at the in-laws Saturday night. Sunday we'll get up and go to early Mass as usual and then it will just be DH and I. Looking forward to watching the parade from WDW and just enjoying the day!
