The 9x sounds like marketingspeak, but improvement is improvement.

And the iPad2 is thinner that the iPhone 4.

I'm still waiting for the Mobile Me info. I hope that the service becomes free soon, still paying for the .me address.

Absolutely beautiful, especially with the new skin cover, so clever it is a dual stand for either typing or viewing.

Will there be a TETHERING charge from the Phone Carriers to allow a Hot Spot Feature?

If I am getting this feature wrong, please let me know.

I don't own a smart phone yet, but is this the ultimate reason for me to buy one now, and combine it with a WIFI only IPAD 2.

Tethering refers to using the cell phone through either a cable or a Bluetooth connection. The HotSpot feature is a different beast because it uses the WiFi circuitry as a transmitter.

It will be in iOS 4.3, which is coming out on March 11. I would not put it past the carriers to charge extra for this, but they are on a tight timeline to do so.

No additional ports, and no on the flash.

I'm surprised they did not bump up the resolution.
I also wonder if the hot spot capability will work on the iPad (I.e. Can the iPad be a hot spot)

The mirroring looks very cool, and should have been there all along. I hope it also works with the original iPad.

I think the speed is what might push me over the fence and upgrade.

No, they are actually calling it "Personal Hotspot for iPhone 4", on Apples site.

I can't believe there is no preordering.

i just cant see spending the money on something that wont even display web pages properly. I will go with another brand of Tablet untill apple add flash and usb ports. Why is it so hard to add something that is standard in all computing these days?
