Anyone else hitting new lows of "excitement?"

I'm absolutely giddy because I'm shopping online for a new electric can opener. So excited!

Finally found yeast in the store and am going to make a starter! And my 22 year old son who is living with us right now agreed to watch some 80's movies with me tomorrow which include "Say Anything" and "St. Elmo's Fire". Party!

I have a bird feeder outside my kitchen window that I like to refill often. I’ve one that keeps the squirrels off and enjoy watching the cardinals, woodpeckers, blue jays, finches, and even the doves who eat the ground scraps. This year, however, a bunch of crows made a nest in my neighbor‘s tree and they have created quite a disruption to the bird ecosystem. Its interesting to watch them do their thing, but they are very aggressive and have been scaring all the other birds away.

I've noticed the crows as well but I don't know if they've caused a big disruption or not. I wouldn't like that; it's a bummer for your area that's been happening

DH and I had out of town eye appointments on Friday afternoon. I was practically giddy with excitement all day and had to really restrain myself from dressing like I was "going out", lol.

To be fair, I always feel a sense of excitement whenever I realize a package is coming no matter what the items are. The steps leading up to it is like a milestone for me.

We've been feeding and watching hummingirds, birds, and squirrels. Unfortunately, DS22 said he saw a rat on the deck one night . . . so maybe feeding a bit too much.

The highlight of my weeks has been going to have groceries put into the trunk of my car. On Thursdays I pick up produce, and on Fridays I go to Walmart. Good times, good times . . . sigh . . .

Go watch the movie Ben.....you'll be fine.

And speaking of names, yes, we have so many different birds and critters around that yes, we have named a few of our squirrels and two crows. I soooooo need to get back to the casino!

we name ours too-

all porcupines are 'buddy',

all chipmunks are 'minions',

all robins are 'robby',

all finches are 'j. pierrepont' (how to succeed in business w/out really trying reference),

and recently we settled on 'moira' for all the crows (in tribute to schitts creek).

We have only 1 more show recorded on the Tivo.

We will be completely caught up when we watch that show today.

The only thing remaining will be a sports tape of our son and daughter in law at a ESPN football preview party-with huge crowds from this past season.
