Anyone else have trouble with Raise.com signing up to buy Target cards?

How do you pay DVC dues with gift cards? I looked on the paper bill as well as online and I don't see an option to pay with gift cards.

Call the DVC # and select the option for Member Accounting. There is then another option for their secure fax line. You can send a fax with your name, member ID, contract #(s), gift card #s, and PINs. They are a bit back logged at the moment and I think it is taking 1-1.5 weeks for them to reflect in your account.

OR

You can open a Disney Vacation Account, fund it with the GCs and then call Member Accounting and use your DVA number like a single GC. It worked fine doing it this way and saved me and the CM a ton of time. Plus, once your account has been active for 120 days, you can request a $20 bonus GC for every $1000 spent.

Great! Thanks for the response!

I went on the Disney Vacation Account website and this was in the FAQ's:

"Can I apply my Disney Vacation Account toward the Annual Dues for my Disney Vacation Club Membership?

No, your Annual Dues cannot be paid using your Disney Vacation Account."

How did others get around this that mentioned they paid their dues with it?

You don't tell MA you're using a DVA. You tell them you're paying your dues with a gift card, give them the 16 digit account number, it processes through. I paid over 4k in dues this year using the raise/target/Disney GC/DVA strategy.

Is the 5% discount you get when you use your red card only apply to the amount you charge to the red card or the entire transaction. So say I buy $1000 from Raise for target. And I buy $1000 in disney gift cards from target. If I put the entire amount on the target gift card I still get the redcard discount?

I'm not understanding the egift card/red card process. If someone could help I would really appreciate it.
If I buy a target ecard from Raise and use that to buy Disney gift cards at Target, how do I get the 5% red card discount?
TIA

As long as you have your red card as the default payment, you get the 5% off. I just did this yesterday, and it worked fine.

You can get the REDCard discount off of the entire amount if you follow the right steps.

Here you gpo:
Set your REDCard as your default form of payment. Go through the checkout process up to the point of confirming your purchase. It will take the 5% off in the column on the right. Underneath that column, in blue, are links for adding a promo code, another for employee discount and another for paying with a GC. Click on the "pay with a gift card" and it takes you back to the previous page where you can then enter the gift card code(s). The proceed with checkout as normal. The 5% REDCard discount remains but the money comes out of the gift card.

Sometimes you have to choose the redcard as initial payment so the discount comes off and then select the 'pay with gift cards' link on the right to actually use the cards. I have my redcard as a default and it doesn't automatically give me the discount.

Thanks everyone for your help. I tried it this morning with $100 just to make sure I was doing it right. It worked like a charm! I got $100 in Disney gift cards for $89.37 :cool1:
Now I know what the process is when I'm ready to make another large payment.
