Anyone else have ipod problems?

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with their iPod. I have the 120gb iPod classic. I bought it in March of this year. When I am listening to music sometimes it will skip to the next track on its own. It also does this when I'm listening to podcasts, it will skip to the next one and then I have to go back and try and figure out where I was at on the one I was listening to. Most recently I have been getting the gray apple screen of death where the whole thing locks up. I have to do the hard reboot several times in order to get it to work again. I should also mention that I have restored it to the original settings and have reloaded everything and still am having problems. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Should I call Apple and ask for a replacement? Thanks for any input.

I've found that my iPod sometimes skips to the next song after beginning the first one. It is always songs that I've previously skipped after they started playing...like it remembers or something. If I go back to it, it plays all the way through.

My iPod sometimes locks up, but only a handful times and I've had it for a few years.
