Just wondering if any of my fellow DISers managed to get tickets and when they are going. If this is anyone's first time I've been once before and can offfer some advice and maybe answer some questions.

I heard on last night's local SD news it was already ALL SOLD OUT. :sad1:

I wanted to go this year. :sad1:

yeah - heard it sold out really fast.
I used to go every year - last year was the 1st I'd missed in a long, long time. Was just getting too crowded to get into anything.

Check their website for the program listings a few days ahead and plan carefully - anything in Hall H ( where the big movie stars will be ) will require lining up hours ahead of time ( like 6 AM for a 10 AM presentation ). The other rooms get lines for an hour or so ahead too for popular presentations. On the other hand presentations actually about comics can usually be entered pretty easily. The Quick Draw they do every year is great fun - I definitely recommend it.

It's quite an experience. Also book your hotel as early as possible - the con gets some deals, but they go very fast too - so be ready as soon as they are available ( sort of like getting Con tickets themselves). Get one with bus service if you can. Parking is $$$.

Thanks for the tips! We did go once before, in 2009, and didn't have a clue about anything and thought we could just og from one panel to another. We did try to get into Hall H once and I got such a bad sunburn that I still have the marks from it, now the rule is no Hall H (unless it's for Joss Whedon). I booked our hotel is September, which is good cause it's already full and it's in Old Town so we are going to get trolley passes so we don't have to drive or park!

I am quite jealous of you all! Haha, I've been wanting to go to Comic Con for the past few years, but for me its on the opposite side of the country! Not exactly within my budget at the moment.

Yeah once airfare gets involved it can get expensive, I'm lucky that it's just about a 5 hour drive for us! Hopefully you can go sometime soon, just wait to buy your plane tickets until you get your Comic Con tickets, I heard from a lot of people that they bought the plane tickets first and then couldn't get the Comic Con tickets.
