We are hosting dinner tonight for DH's family, which I always look forward too... but it makes for a busy day... and then we are such good hosts no one ever wants to leave.... although since the party starts at 3 this year I plan on booting them all out by 9... They may put up a fuss, but such is life. My kids wont hit the hay until at least 10... so that makes it 11 before I can even start all my stuff...

I have only have 5% of the stuff that needs to be wrapped, wrapped.... Thankfully Santa doesnt wrap his stuff... so that helps, but anyway you look at it I will be awake doing my thing until the wee hours...

So who else will be up with me??? Sneaking around??? ((( oh no... burt reynolds and dolly partons song sneaking around with you from a Best little *****house in Texas is now in my head.... lol)

Mass isn't until 6:30 and then we are going out to eat after that so won't even be home until 9:30 or later. Gotta get the kids in bed and then put together "Santa" toys and wrap some more stuff. So I won't be going to bed until pretty late.

We are going to the in laws tonight to celebrate with the whole family and probably won't get home until 10 so that means I won't start wrapping until 11 and who knows what time I will be done. Oh, we only have grandchildren but we are keeping them all day today to my daughter can get done what she needs to without staying up all night. Am I crazy or what.

ACK!! I completely forgot about putting together the super giant air hockey table!!! Oh My... I guess DH and I will ahve to do that first (Since he konks out early)
Hmmm I wonder if a big giant bow on the box is something Santa would do.... afterall, just getting the box outta of his sleigh and into our basement would take him some time.... LOL Nah.... It needs to be set up for the full kid ffreak out effect! LOL

Count me in too...lol! We have his family over at 4, then I head to my Mom's around 9ish and stay for several hours to see all of my cousins, etc. Since we are telling the cherubs tonight about their gift leaving by 8:30 AM tomorrow for the airport...I expect I will get about an hour of sleep after I finish packing last minute stuff! :cheer2:

Sounds like everyone is busy, busy, busy!! "A woman's work is never done!" Neither is Santa's!! :goodvibes ;) Have fun all and good luck! :sunny:

Yes, I have a special kitchen to put together tonight to help out Santa's Elves. I have a feeling 'some assembly required' is going to be giving me and DH a huge headache!!!!! :teeth:

I'll be up late too, and then I'll be up early to do breakfast, then clean up, then start Christmas dinner. MIL will once again expect to be waited on hand and foot all day

I hope to be in bed by 1 . . .Dinner is at my house every year, but by the time everyone gets here we aren't sitting and eating till around 7:30/8:00, then everyone is outta here by 11. Me and DH will then clean up everything, take down tables and chairs and get the house back to normal, then DH will park his carcas on the couch and be snoozin' when Santa arrives . . .

So yeah . . .hopefully 1 . . .most likely 2 . . .we'll see. :wizard: Thankfully we'll be at my sister's tomorrow and be able to relax. :cool1:

I need to start that pot of coffee. We've got a lot to wrap and can't do any of it until we're absolutely sure the kids are asleep!

Santa was awfully smart this year, he got both boys those big Lego sets that the kids have to put together themselves! :rotfl: Wrapping is enough of a chore.

Thankfully I won't, since I haven't slept much the last two nights. I'm actually on the ball for ONCE in my life. Tomorrow's breakfast casserole is already "refrigerating overnight" as per the directions, everything is wrapped and ready to go, just have to wait for the kiddos to be good and asleep.

For some strange reason though, I'd like to have at least a few things that needed wrapped, I love to wrap!

The Air Hockey game is all set up!!! WOO HOO!!! DH took his BIL and his two teen sons down into the basement after dinner and they set it up. Thank goodness! Apparently it was a real pita.

Girls are in bed... the boy, who had a late nap is still up, but in few minutes I may start wrapping around the corner...

I still need to go thru everything I bought and figure out who gets what, and what is from santa and what is from us.....

Dinner went well. Too well... I am sluggish from it. LOL Ah well... off to down another Diet Pepsi... and maybe some chocolate!

Anyone else who should be wrapping?? :rotfl2:

Me, just about to start wrapping. Ugh, lots to wrap. At least the friends and relatives presents can be done in the morning!

On my second cup of coffee, hoping that keeps me up long enough.

I don't need to wrap, I do need little people to stop talking and go to sleep so that Santa can haul stuff from the basement. That stuff seemed to multiply!!Plus the four bikes from their grandparents' house.I am extremely glad that all toys are already put together. He did that last night.

Just got finished wrapping some last minute gifts. My kids are older so we don't need to wait til they fall asleep anymore. That part is kind of nice. :) I will actually be in bed and asleep by 12:30 on Christmas Eve. That's EARLY compared to other years. :bounce:

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Just finished up dividing the loot.... not a lot this year compared to others, between the trip to WDW and the giant air hockey table, the budget was blown..... still I have a lot to wrap. Mostly movies and computer games.... once I get a ryhtm going it shouldnt be too bad.... Ha... I say that now.

Also each kid is getting 3 or 4 gifts with their names on it, the rest will just say 'the kids' so no one can claim them as theirs (or not theirs when clean up time comes around)

I just can't sleep, maybe because I was out like alight by 9:00, I thought it was morning already, this is going to be a long day

I am done with wrapping and stockings and so forth. I can't sleep yet for some reason. Too wound up.
