We're only 15 days away!

I've posted on the cruise meet board, but have not gotten any responses, so I'm trying here. If you are going would you be interested in a local Candy/Snack exchange, or meeting for a pin trading time?

We use fish extenders and deliver the treats once during the cruise. I've organized these exchanges before and it's a lot of fun! As far as pin trading goes, I usually set it up around lunch on a sea day.

I know getting to San Juan was expensive, but the ports we are visiting made the trip worthwhile for us. Anyone else going?

Going on the 1/31 cruise with the DVC specials - looking forward to this itinerary!

I so wish I could have gone...but, unfortunately, I still work and with teaching, it didn't match a break!!! Only 4 years to go though and then I'll be able to do Disney and cruises whenever I want. Plus, my DD 23 is now a CRM coordinator with Disney Theater productions so she gets discounts for last minute ones, and hoping to take advantage of those at some point when she can make it work with her schedule!!! Woohoo!!!

That is exciting news about your daughter. Congratulations to her!

You'll have lots of great vacations in your future!

Considering this weekend's weather, I am very happy that the cruise that was discounted is for next weekend. Feel like we have been pixie dusted with the dates!

Is anyone else on that cruise. I'm still interested in a local Candy Exchange, or a meet for Pin Trading if there's anyone interested.

We were on the Jan 10 cruise out of San Juan. I assume the ports are the same. It was wonderful. Wish we could have done the discounted cruise but it didn't work with our grand daughters college schedule. We especially loved kayaking in Grenada and the atv excursion on st kitts. Also the zoo and gardens on Msrtinique was great.

We were tempted. Loved the itinerary, but flying into San Juan was the negative for us. I wish they would have this itinerary out of Port Canaveral with a little longer cruise to cover the distance. Have fun! As a consolation to us for not booking, we booked a B2B the end of February.

Glad it was great!

We booked different shore excursions, one's a River Tubing, I think in Grenada and we will snorkel in St. Kitts.

Have a great time on your b2bs! Disney just doesn't have enough ships! We were on a Princess cruise recently, and with only 4 ships it has less than 1% of the cruise ships in service. The Princess cruise was a partial transit of the Panama Canal. Being able to actually go into Panama and visiting the new canal area as well as the Gatun Locks visitors center was a highlight of the cruise for us!

It was a surprisingly decent price, and if we hadn't already had longstanding plans I would have considered it. But we have a long-awaited March cruise on Freedom of the Seas coming up, and other plans besides that, plus we have a Southern Caribbean cruise for December planned on Adventure of the Seas. So our time and cruises were booked. :) Other than that we would have strongly considered it.

It has been at least 5 years since we've done a Southern Caribbean cruise, leaving from San Juan, and this cruise has 2 ports we have not been to, so for us it really fit our travel plans. We are on the Podcast Cruise in December, and I'm doing the Member Cruise in the fall, so we have a nice mix of travel this year!

We actually know a cast member who works for the Cruise Line and received a special deal for this cruise that was insanely cheap. A deal that if out of any port anywhere in the U.S. we would have jumped on. However, per my post above, airfare was so ridiculous we couldn't even justify the deal we'll never see again for any Disney cruise. It would have cost us $5,100 for 3 to get there. That was how insane airfare was.

Cast Members do get great rates on unsold cabins. We met a very nice couple on our WBPC cruise in 2014. It was enough incentive to consider retirement employment in WDW! However, my love affair with Cape May and my home state of NJ won out. We will eventually move to Cape May, not FL.
