Anyone else get really nervous to go on rides?

Hi, I've been on every ride at both DL & CA I am amazed that I still get nervous and heart races before I go on certain rides. TOT, Space and California Screamin. Do you guys still get nervous or am I just crazy?

I get nervous just walking by the Sun Wheel. That thing is pure evil!

I get nervous getting on Tower of Terror. I stay away from the Sun Wheel.

California Screamin' gets me every time. What a take off!

I'm so glad I'm not alone on this, makes me feel alot better. Funny I get way more nervous for Maliboomer than TOT, I guess because you can see what it does.
My dh loves fast rides but won't even attempt the sun wheel, I thought it was pretty fun but had to go on it without him. Big Whimp!

no, I think there is only one ride I won't get on, thats the drop one in DCA, don't even know the name, just don't like that type of ride, ToT is similar, but your not just hanging out there, and is more about the experience than the drop to me.

LOL no not really. I mean TOT and Screamin have kids that go on the rides. Sure they have to be a certain hight, but you cant make something that will terrify a child out of their wits.

Sadly, I get scared on Splash Mountain!! I hate the straight down drop. I also can't stand the take off on Screaming. But I loved Rockin Roller Coaster in DW so go figure. Actually, a nice CM working the ride told me if I avoided seat 6 on Rockin then my tummy won't get that sick feeling as bad. I guess the thrust mechanism is under that seat. That tip helped big time...trust me I tired every seat to test the CM story out.

The worst of all the rides has to be the sliding/swinging baskets on the Sun Wheel!!!! I was clinging for dear life on that ride! Never again. I will only do the stationary baskets next time.

Only ride that truly scares me is riding the tea cups....with 2-3 teenagers.

I get excited for most. TOT I love to hate. I have only been on the sunwheel once and I said I would not do it again but I might give it a shot again. THe only that scares me is that thing flying into the water and us locked in the cage.

I get extremely nervous on anything that goes high and roller coasters. DS6 went on Expedition Everest twice before I would try it (and he was only 5 at the time). DH can't do spinning rides because of the motion.

One of us has to suck it up and take ds on Dumbo, Magic Carpet and other spinning rides. That's me.

This is ds6's first visit to DL and our first visit to DCA and just looking at the sun wheel makes me have to run to the ladies room. I wish I could be brave, but I'm not.

I will try Screaming, just so I can say I've at least tried it. I think I will try Screaming. Maybe not.
