Anyone else excited to stay at POP?

We'll be there 10/2-10/7 for the first time and we're excited. We weren't going to go to WDW this year, but because of the dining plan, we decided to take a trip. The only other value resort we've been to was ASMu, and I wasn't crazy about it because POP Warner was there and it was CRAZY. But, I have heard good things about it and we're looking forward to it!!

OK, maybe this is a stupid question, but what is POP Warner??? I've seen this on other posts and wasn't sure what they were talking about.

Pop Century is a Disney Resort.

Pop Warner is one of the two major youth football bodies in the nation.

P.S. Yes I'm excited as is my entire family. 90 days plus a half month or so to go. Wooohooo!!!

I am so happy to hear I am not the only one looking forward to the Pop! My DN...10 is also a resort snob... was was complaining about no pool slide etc....until I explained to her that the only way her cousins could make it was if we booked 2 rooms at a value...and to reconsider her attitude! *LOL* She is an only child and now just happy to be going since my other neice and nephew can join us. Pop looks fun to me...and now to her...will be there in one month!!!

We are excited at POP! At first I wasn't b/c I have never stayed at a value resort and I was worried that I wouldn't like it as much. I got over that and I think POP looks fun and it is saving us a ton of money! I am just so happy to be going back to Disney, ya know?

August 21st - 28th POP here we come!

We've stayed at all 3 levels of resorts and just love all of them! We're 2, 50-something adults with grown kids and now that they have moved out on their own, we go to WDW even more often. I love a good deal such as the one we're getting at Pop in Sept. This was an unplanned WDW trip, but the deal was just too good to pass up. We stayed at POP this past Jan. with extended family and had a blast. We are SO looking forward to our next trip. The only things I miss at Pop is a hot tub and pool towels. We still have some of our meals at the other resorts and since we're on our own this time, we will have a much slower pace. I myself am thankful that WDW offers value priced accommodations so that we can squeeze in an unplanned budget vaca.

Add us to the list of very excited people getting to go to Disney and stay at POP. This was also an unplanned trip due buying a house but with staying at POP we were able to make it work. We are so excited we check in July 30th!!

I too cannot wait to try out the POP. I have stayed at 2 AllStars before and a few moderates and a delux thrown in for good measure but I am soo looking forward to this trip. I feel like its going to be a whole new experience, plus I can't wait to try out that frozen coke machine!

Maybe we'll see some of you there!

I just joined and was reading this thread. I'm going to POP for the second time. (First time was last year Dec10-17.)
But I am going again, because of the dining, on Sept 3-10. So maybe I will see you there Wide Awake!
I've been to WDW a few times, off and on site. I really want to stay at GF but the cost is too much for a poor Canadian. And I can save a lot of money by doing Pop and can spend the different on souvenirs and maybe some tours. (You can never have too many mickey ears)

Had the BEST time there last year, Can't wait to return!
We love there so much so that decided not to buy into DVC.

wdwr: I'm a poor Canadian too!!! And I am sooooo excited about going to WDW. January 2006 seems a long ways away, but I keep the dream alive every day. I've been driving DH crazy with Disney, Disney, Disney.
I decided on POP cause it looked like the MOST Fun.
