I never thought I would like cold Salmon until my cruises, I ate it each meal and LOVED IT! Of course now I'm home and want some, so I went to the store and I found it at Walmart, it only comes in a 3oz. serving and it's $3.96 for one slice!!! I know there has to be a better price, or a larger package for a better price. Atleast I hope so, because now I've got this Salmon/Cream Cheese/Bagel craving going on and I'll be broke if I spend that much to satisfy it...lol! :cool1: It's almost as bad as my starbucks cravings.

Anyhow, any other DISer's like Lox and if so where do you get yours, prices, etc... Thanks!

I hit a really good Jewish deli up here in Atl. for lox. When I get it, which is few and far between, it is $28.99 a pound.

When we lived in Miami, there were a greater number of places that sold good lox. I would try a few delis if I were you and get a small amount first to try it and then when you find the best that you like, frequent that deli.

It is expensive, but well worth it.

Yes, it will be expensive. You only need a little bit. We get a 3 ounce section from the kosher area of my local supermarket, and its usually $3.89.

Well I got the one from Walmart it's Nova Socotia Salmon, we have a fine meat market in town so I'll try them tomorrow maybe.
