Anyone else doing the PANIC dance?

Arghhhh I am leaving tomorrow, with 3 little ones, they are mostly packed as I am, DH hasn't packed or washed a thing yet.
I have to work all day today and most of the day tomorrow! I knowwww I am going to forget something, kids meds, nebulizer, passprts, DISNEY HOPPERS...arghhhhhhhhh let the CHAOS begin!



It's all good right, whatever I forget I can buy! I have my green Mickey's but never was able to get out and get the laminate and the pins

We don't leave until Saturday and I'm already starting to panic! DH will be away on a business trip until Friday evening! I just keep thinking of all the things I need to do this week and it's starting to overwhelm me.

We are leaving Friday. Spent all day yesterday washing all the new clothes for myself and my kids. DH just kept grumbling, doesn't get me, what's the big deal, etc. Of course all the clothes are 100% cotton and need to be hung to dry. It is so humid here I'm panicking they won't dry in time. In the mean time my DH literally threw his stuff in the suitcase (didn't even cut off the tags, let alone wash them!) in 5 minutes. Running out today to buy myself some more shorts and DD some sandals. Every night this week we have some place to be, PTA dinner, concert, son's baseball game....yes, I'M PANICKING!!! BTW, DH can't stop laughing about me putting outfits in ziploc bags! Couldn't wait to tell the guys at work about his crazy wife!

My DH bought lots of new stuff too, I told him, hun please just trow it in the suitcase! Did he nopppppppe! He played XBOX instead! I will be taking the 3 kids and all the luggage to pick him up at work tomorrow afternoon and head to the airport, if he's not packed by tonight, OH WELL!

Make sure you write a list, so that you don't forget anything! This should make you feel better: the last time I took a vacation (last month, hehe), I wrote a long list out and then I lost the list! Yep, you can't get much worse than that. lol.

This totally reminds me of last December, the week before we left for WDW. I had had so much fun planning everything for months before. But when I hit the last week, I suddenly realized that it wasn't fun anymore. I just felt overwhelmed and stressed. I thought "uh oh....is the honeymoon over?" But once we sat down in the plane, after everything was done and all that was left was simply enjoying the experience, the fun came back in spades. It was the best vacation we ever had.

So just hang in there a little bit longer! The real fun is about to begin!!

Hi all you girls w/ DH who would rather let you do all the planning and work. I have a simple solution that works just great for me...leave him home!
My DH would make our trip miserable by constantly comlaining about the heat, people, lines, money.... you get the picture. So, he stays hame and does some huge home project - last time we came he had a pool installed and built a deck around it. I take the kids to the crowded, hot, fun, exciting, fabulous WDW. I love it!! We do what we want, when we want, and I get to plan, plan, plan until all I can see is little Mickey heads day and night. We have a blast!!!
So, if it's really not so fun, go it alone. LOL he he

I'll join you in the panic - only I get to draw mine out until Tuesday. And between now and then there is a list of things a mile long to be done as we're having our floors refinished while we're out.

I didn't realize men could pack (if there was a woman there to do it for them.) Do what I do - pack for your DH. He used to do his own packing, but then we spent a couple hours one trip having to buy him underwear! (No joke)
