Anyone else book a trip to a warm spot as a reward for being snowed in?

We have been unable to leave our subdivision for five days and are going out soon to shovel for the fourth time. My DH is out of Coke and suffering from caffeine withdrawl. So, today we booked a trip from DC to Cancun for early March. We got a great deal on Expedia. Non-stop flights and four nights in a three star hotel for $416pp. Can't wait.

Anyone else affected by the blizzards book a trip?

We were supposed to leave for WDW this morning but we're snowed in, so I cancelled and rescheduled us for April. Does that count?

Yeah, the leisure travel industry is loving this snow storm. Online retailers are probably loving every minute of it also.

Oh, I wish! Yes, I've been planning in my mind, but not IRL! I would love a quick trip to Florida to try the new Orlando Waldorf Astoria or Hilton Bonnet Creek, but no vacation plans for this year. Bummer.
