Just wondered who will be at the GF with us over the 4th of July. This is our first 4th of July trip (usually go later in July or August but had to use up our APs) and our first lagoon view. We're planning on staying put and watching the fireworks from the GF on the 3rd and 4th because on the 3rd it is Wishes but on the 4th it is Fantasy in the Sky. Can't wait to see them back to back. Anyone else?

We used to stay at the GF over the 4th. The fireworks are absolutely spectacular over the MK. There's a double sized display (at least in years past). There are always cute activities for the kids also like the opportunity to decorate the golf carts that take you to your room (even though we don't have kids, we've watched them outside of the pool). Some of this may have changed as we haven't stayed at the GF since 2003.

Even though we always had a fabulous MK view room, we've watched the fireworks from the marina and from the veranda at Narcoossee's. You must eat dinner there to view the fireworks, but it's a great location. If you're planning on watching the fireworks from the marina, grab a seat early. Have a great time! We don't arrive at the BWI until the 6th.

Hmm! :scratchin do they realy drive :moped: you in golfcarts at GF to your room!.
... only at check-in or on other times during your stay too ?.

That would be cool, realy classy me thinks !! :rotfl:

At check-in, usually. Often times if you're a repeat guest (as we were), you can elect to walk to your building and of course if you're in the main building, no golf cart necessary. We were walking to the Poly one evening to eat and a CM in a cart told us to hop in and rode us over. The Poly offers the same service.

Thanks, Cinderella37 :goodvibes

Btw. im going to WL and BC in July, and thought about adding GF to my vacation. Im a 35 yo guy traveling from Denmark on my own (been to WDW 4 times in the past, traveling alone, off-site), im a regular type of guy, ex Navy, do you think it would be to fancy for a guy like me ? :wave2:
