Hi - just wondering if Cape May will have enough for me now that I'm a vegetarian. DD17 picked this restaurant, so I sort of have to go.

Breakfast or dinner? Breakfast was AWESOME. Wonderful fresh fruit, pastries, cheese omelet, grilled asparagus, vanilla bread pudding.

Sorry - Duh!!, lol!

Dinner. You would think I would have thought to post that.

SALADS
Mixed Lettuce with Dressing and Condiments
Casear Salad
Broccoli Salad
Potato Salad
Ambrosia
Seafood Salad
Cole Slaw

Mashed Red Skinned Potatoes
Chef's Vegetable Selection
Steamed Corn on the Cob
Pasta du Jour
Steamed Red Bliss Potatoes
Macaroni & Cheese

Some Vegans eat seafood, they have alot of those items.

That sort of looks like a "no" to me (especially since Caesar salad and seafood salad aren't vegetarian), but you'll definitely have food to eat, at least. (I also find that the buffets tend to have more options than what's listed online. I'll cross my fingers for you.)

Oh, and *no* vegan eats seafood. Some people claim to be vegetarians, but eat seafood; but the proper term for someone who eats seafood but no other meat is "pescatarian."

Totally agree! This is why I'm worried. I'd also love to know if the broccoli salad there has bacon in it. I'd probably be happy there if I could eat the broccoli salad as long as there isn't any bacon in it! I could eat a plate of that alone, lol. I remember loving the broccoli salad there.

I haven't eaten there but I'd be open to it if I heard of some good vegetarian options. Obviously it's a seafood restaurant first and forthmost but you never know! Hopefully someone who has eaten there will come along soon. :)

P.S. I'd be happy with a big plate of salad too, that's more or less what I had at H&V!

I haven't been to this restaurant yet, but I'd like to go. Don't forget to mention that you are a vegetarian to your server and possibly ask to speak to a chef. Sometimes at the Disney buffets you can have a chef walk you around the buffets and point out exactly what is vegetarian or vegan.

I've never had any problems eating at one of the buffets at WDW, so I don't imagine (even if it is seafood heavy) that I would have a hard time finding things to eat here.

As a fellow veggie and lover of Cape May cafe we never had any issues. But I would recommend the lemonade, it's the best on property.

I would reccomend putting your dietary issues on your reservation!

My DH is shellfish allergic, and the chef came and walked him through the buffet to tell him what he could not eat.

....Generally, they will offer to make you something special if there are not enough choices! Executive chefs really like the opportunity to cook, as they often do more menu planning than cooking.

Talk to the chef when you arrive and ask them for a vegan option. Most restaurants will take care of you.

I am a very picky eater and no matter what restaurant I have gone to, they have made me a special dish if I needed it. Im sure they will make you a pasta and veggie dish or a tofu dish. There are multiple restaurants in that building they can get from. I did this at Ohana and they brought me food from Kona Cafe...just ask!
