Is there any quick service type decently priced cafe type place to eat in the hotels next door here near Aulani? We could walk to them.

The current JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa, which currently has about 500 employees will close on Jan. 10 for an approximate 10-month, $500 million redevelopment into the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.

So the restaurants listed in the above link for the J.W. Marriott will be closing this weekend. Good news, there will be other restaurants when the Four Seasons opens in the fall.

I can't wait to see the transformation. My high school friend who lives on Maui is slated to do a lot of their wood carved interior pieces.

We ate at the Monkey Pod restaurant across the street. It was reasonably priced and very good. They are also on Open Table so you can make a reservation, but when we went it wasn't necessary.
