I'm so undecided about which new vehicle to get.

Can anyone give me the good and bad about the Envoy?

Thanks :)

I was looking at an envoy as well. They are BIG, and I'm not sure if I want that big.

With the V8, don't forget about high gas costs as well.

I saw a nice one, and I looked at it, but determined I don't really NEED it.. if that makes sense.

I've gotta get supper done I bought on in March, and already have 7500 miles on it- I'll post more later tonight.

All i can say now is - I WONT SELL IT!!

Okay, now I can fill you in.

1st let me say I just about live in my truck from may-september...so I know it's ins and outs by now.

for starters, it's NOT big, it's a mid-sized SUV, it's no longer than my Grand Am was. I have the 2-row Envoy, the 3 row is not much longer though.

The reason I have the 3 row, is because I did not think there was enough room behind the 3rd row seat if we were ever rear-ended. I'm weird like that. My SIL has a Durango, and i wont let my kids in the 3rd row. Same for mini-vans, if it's not the extended wheel base model, my kids dont go in the 3rd row.

As for gas mileage, I average 20-21.5 mpg. This is city driving, a lot of stop and go, and not much highway. When we went to WDW in April, I stayed right at about 22mpg the entire way and back.

It has rear air/heat, which I LOVE! Tinted windows are great in the sun.

The engine is the biggest in it's class IT IS NOT A V8....I REPEAT IT IS NOT A V8....it's an inline 6, hence the high gas mileage.

DH is a very large guy- 6' 240lbs, and he was more than comfortable on our trip, which we put over 3K miles on it. he spent the entire time in the passanger seat LOL!..

There is plenty of room in the back seat for 2 kids in booster seats. They each had DVD players, hung on the back of our seat. The rear cig lighter outlet thing was great!....

I have to tell you that I am VERY picky when it comes to cars/trucks, any squeek rattle or clunck, it heads back to the dealer for repair and with this truck I have had NONE....

Let me know if I can offer anymore advice, I'm sitting here trying to think of something that I don't like, and I really can't find anything!!!

Brandy thank you very much. That was very informative.

I currently have a Pontiac Montana extended ( I feel the same way about the 3rd row seat being too close on some vehicles) minivan. I'm looking to go smaller but not TOO small.

I'm between the Honda Pilot and the Envoy.
