That title should state "Anyone do Flex and new PP+?". Sorry, after I submitted I realized it was the Flex plan where I lost the most weight. I found weigh in books with dates from 2005, when the Flex plan was in place.

I lost 50 pounds on the Flex WW plan in 2004/05. I regained that weight plus some and am now losing weight with a meal replacement plan, Medifast (MF). I love MF but know meal replacement is not a permanent weight solution and I'm interested in transitioning to WW when I get within 10 pounds of my goal weight.

I very briefly tried the PP+ program a year ago and did not like it (super slow losses). Admittedly, I may have already been on my way to quitting WW (mentally) and didn't give it my all.

If you did flex, how do your losses compare with the PP+?

I'm not currently doing WW but did the flex years ago with decent success but gave up on it after a couple months lol. My friends joined last Sept and lost over 50 pounds with points+ in about 6 months. I haven't really followed any specific plan, just portion control and exercise and have lost over 40. Sadly Ive been lazy this summer so I have gained about 7 but I am getting back on track.

I think the old ww system works just fine and they have to change things up now and again to bring in new members! My friend said the biggest difference is fruit is now zero when they used to be 1 or 2 points each and you also get more weekly "extra" points. I think if people are experiencing slow weight loss on the new system I think its due to the 0 point fruits and eating too many. Yes fruit is healthy but when you eat too many to compensate for the sweet tooth then it may cause problems. I am by no means an expert but this is just what I have heard.

Good luck!:thumbsup2

My third time joining was in mid 2004 and I quit at the end of 2005. For me I disliked the plan at that time. I didn't follow it, couldn't follow it. And I was nursing and got scads of points, but I still wouldn't follow whatever the good health guidelines were called then.

I lost but only because I'd just had a baby. Heck I lost 20+ pounds before I even got to a meeting (when DS was 2 weeks old) but then I hit 5 lbs up from where I was when i conceived (aka "wedding weight") and stayed there for a year. Then quit.

Come my "nothing is better than this plan" was the one in mid/late 2000. But this plan now is better. And I think they do a better job of encouraging us to think about eating the "extra" points. Weekly and Activity points have made all the difference in the world for me and the perceived sustainability of the plan. I've never lost this much or stayed on the plan this long. I'm super happy with it.

I lost almost 50 pounds on the flex plan in 2004/5. Due to knee injuries that kept me from working out but not changing my eating to reflect that, I gained it all back plus some. :(

I joined WW again in mid may and I've lost 21.5 pounds in 11 weeks. I'm definitely losing slower than I did last time, but I'm also 8 years older and not running nearly as much as I was the first time. I have lost at every weigh in so far and I eat every point they give me plus 2-3 pieces of fruit a day.

I took me a while to adjust to the new points, it would make me mad when my old 1 point English muffins are now 3 points, but since I get so many more points each day than on the old plan, I know it all balances out in the end!
