I am investigate the Pirate Museum/Tour for an option in Nassau. It sounds like there is a mock ship with Actors. Sounds like fun for the kids. Has anyone been???

Our family did it and had a good time. Our son was 7 at the time and while I think he might enjoy it more now (age 10), he still had a good time. We did not know beforehand that it contained live actors and in one of the places they scared the you know what out of me! It was dark and creepy in an educational kind of way. This is something you can easily do on your own. I wouldn't spend the money on a tour. I think they now offer it as an excursion. It was a fairly short walk and pretty easy to find. If I remember it seemed a bit expensive for what you got but I had the feeling that the people there could use the money more than I could.

what is the cost for adults and children? I have two boys 3 and 6. Will they be scared? They love Pirates! I read that this is an excursion. Is it a DCL excursion? Thanks in advance!

We did this on our own in March. My boys were 6 and 12. There were no actors scaring us though. We enjoyed it and learned alot about the pirate history in Nassau. There is a lot of reading involved as you do it on your own. We stopped at the Welcome center (Tourist info) for a map in Nassau, and they gave us a coupon. I think it was free for the boys and maybe $10 for us. Very reasonable. From there we walked to the straw market, and then back to the ship. It is not far.
